A/C And Gauge Question

Two questions about the new 370Z:

1) when i start the car all of my gauges make a complete revolution. all the way over to the right and then back. is that normal? my '08 350Z didnt do this.

2) if i want to turn the fan on WITHOUT the A/C, is there anyway to do this? am i missing something? seems like the little light comes on indicating the A/C is on if i just want to blow some cool air through the cabin, or perhaps some warm air with the heater. any way to keep from having to push the button to turn off the A/C everytime?

I'm not sure about #2 but my gauges do the same thing, and also does it on the others I've seen at dealerships. So I'm pretty sure it's normal.

2. Turn the knob to engage the fan and then push the center of the button to turn off the A/C. 2/2. No

You can turn the sweeping effect on or off via the Options menu in your information display (under "EFFECTS"). See pgs 2-22 and 2-23 in your Owner's Manual.

1) normal
2) Yes - turn the AC off, and leave it off "auto" for the blower, and set your temp control all the way cold and it'll blow air collected from under the hood - so, it won't be cool...

I think the needle sweep is totally cool! I would never turn it off. I get a little chuckle every time I start the car. I guess I'm just easily impressed!
