it doesnt throw a CEL because it has a spring loaded cover on the bottem of it. When you stick in the nozzle to fill, it pushes the cover down

it doesnt throw a CEL because it has a spring loaded cover on the bottem of it. When you stick in the nozzle to fill, it pushes the cover down and sideways, when your done and you take out the nozzle, the cover pops right back into place and blocks air from getting in/out.
The fords have this as a factory installed option on all of the 09+ model year trucks now. (although theirs is built in, you cant remove it like a gas cap). |
