I live in Orange County too, I guess my neighbors mind their business. You're paying the bill, it's your water.

If someone without a gun and badge told me a FVCKING thing about what I do at my house i'd spit in their face.

Water pricing is interesting; almost none of us pay the actual COST of water. Heavily subsidized.

I'd actually not lecture my neighbors; I'm also not hostile to being civically minded. I'd also not get my hackles up because someone ran their yap at me. Seems some (not the original poster) are anxious to turn this into more than it is.

We are already told what we can and can't do so much, you have to draw the line somewhere and my house/yard is that line.

kenchan 02-13-2014 02:55 PM

waterless wash is perfect for such situation... clean car, no swinging at people, no verbal raping.

kenchan 02-13-2014 02:56 PM

and offer to clean your neighbor's cars with the system for extra cash. :D

always thinking of ways to generate money. :p

Where does the water that flows from your tap come from?

KaienZ34 02-13-2014 02:57 PM

If I want to cut my grass in my underwear while I run the sprinkles with all my doors open and the A/C running at 50* i'll do it. Last time I checked this is still America, at least for now.

Allocating a scarce resource that isn't properly priced is tricky.

Yes, it my have fallen from the sky. But the water we use typically isn't the water that fell on our property. How many of us collect rainwater and use only that water?

Ok well since you are the water doctor I guess there is no winning this. Since your so nice and like doing what others tell you to, please buy me a F.I. TT kit and have my car sent to Tony for the install and i'll give you all the water you want.
