Any owners who will NEVER sell their Z??

So I come across this article where this actor says that he will never sell his first car...a 1963 Porsche 356.

Although I really enjoy my Z, I just assumed that there would be a day when I would sell it. This article now has me thinking though. I actually do consider my blue roadster a classic that could be worthy of an always keep/never sell car.

What say you, my Z brothers and sisters??

I'll keep mine for ten years or so, then make a decision. If I've got the space to mothball it, I will. I've only regretted selling one of my cars, and that's because the idiot I sold it for blew it up three weeks later.

And if I owned a 356 I'd never sell it either.

I sell/trade my cars in about 6 months after I'm done paying for them...seems to be the time **** starts to break and not worth keeping.

never is a pretty strong word

I can see the Z going from daily driver to weekend toy at some point. Then it's time for a big power build. Either that or it becomes the new track slut. I usually keep cars long enough and mod them enough to make them worthless anyway, so I might as well keep them.

Mine will be kept forever, paid off and is mine.

Everyone has a price.

I would agree with that, but for someone who intends to keep a car forever (any car), parting with the car is a high cost and usually inflates the price to a level no one wants to buy it at.

Honestly, if someone came up to me and offered some crazy amount I would consider it but could not part with my car.

never ever!

Chuck33079 02-06-2014 09:25 AM

I won't say I'll never sell it, but I damn sure will never part it out back to stock. :rofl2:

I plan to keep my car for until she dies (not by car accident but drivetrain failure). I plan to keep all my OEM part for every add on I put on my car too. I'm going to make her a classic. This is part of the reason why I bought a Nismo. It's a real nice car that is and will be a nice car for a very long time.

I was going to keep my Mustang forever since it was my first car. Unfortunately it went off the road last month and hit a sign before I was able to complete the build.

So if I offered you 1 billion dollars for you Z, you would turn that down? :icon14:

I know it's not realistic but still, one billion would be a lot to pass up over a 30k Japanese mass produced car! :p

What is this "stock" you speak of. :rofl2:

Chuck33079 02-06-2014 09:28 AM

I think it's another word for "slow".
