I know it's not realistic but still, one billion would be a lot to pass up over a 30k Japanese mass produced car! :p

Ok you are going into unrealistic territory on the offer.
The way I would weight the offer is like this:
~Does the offer cover the car plus everything I have done
~Does it add money because I don't want to sell but buyer is willing
~Finally, with the offer could I rebuild the Z as is plus have spare money for another car

Basically the last one sums it up, so in the real world if you came here and threw down 80-100k I would consider it because I could buy another Z and build it again for fun (maybe change a few things up) plus have some cash left over to do more or pick up another car. If you came in with an offer for 40-50k I would pass.

I like my '09 Touring - a lot - but it's just a car. I've owed several cars that I wouldn't mind owning again (1967 ('68?) Dodge Dart GTS, 196x Ford Mustangs, 1979 Chevy Camaro Berlinetta, &c) but no emotional attachment. I'll probably keep my Z until maintenance gets too high. That could be tomorrow or ten years from now.

I won't say never because Justin Bieber told me not to, but I don't plan on selling mine. I'm in the same boat as Dreamer. If someone offered me a billion dollars for it, I'd take that lol. You'd be a moron not to. I'm saying if someone offered me what it's worth, I wouldn't take it because its worth more to me than money.

I have sex with my car.

:iagree:

It would have to be enough to build the car the way I want it knowing what I know now using currently available parts, retail prices for anything I bought under market, any labor I paid and a premium for my time. Bring me $100k and I'll sign the title over today. :rofl2:

Will keep mine forever!:happydance:

Not planning on selling mine, this is my first sports car and as long as I have room for her, she's staying, even though my next car will be an upgrade. I'd like to keep this around for showing me how much fun a sports car can be.

Not too sure about the 370, but I will NEVER sell my 83 280ZX. She was my 1st car. I have heard too many stories of "man I wish I would have never sold that car." So why sell it, just so I can one day say, "man I wish I never sold that car. No one will ever offer me what she is worth to me anyway.
She is getting a complete overhaul right now anyway. Once I get far enough I will start posting images of what she is going through.

Only thing I would sell this car for is for a GTR

DEpointfive0 02-06-2014 10:52 AM

With the bullshít I have been through, I'm never selling, either it will be kicked every day to start with hopefully 150k+ and die at 200k+ or it will be totaled.

My prediction: None of you will still own your car in in 10 years. 3/4 of you won't own your car in 5 years.

Chuck33079 02-06-2014 12:05 PM

I'll take that bet. Unless that hypothetical $100k offer pops up.

I will take that bet.
My car is paid off and if I need something else (say a kid comes along), I will just pick up another car I required.

edub370 02-06-2014 12:39 PM

I will get rid of mine some day. No doubt about it. There are bigger and better fish out there
