What mod did you do that we should NOT do?

Dunno if there is a thread where we can learn from the mistakes of others so here goes. What mod have you done that was a mistake, or a waste

What mod have you done that was a mistake, or a waste of money, or just something that should not have been done, and you'd recommend to others to avoid?

Did you use the wrong size spacers? Try to update software? New seats? Wrong size CAIs? Post your trials and tribulations here to help save your brethren heartaches and so that your negative experiences may educate others.

On the Mazda I did a "cram the wheel into a curb" mod. I highly recommend not doing that.

Ordering spacers and then deciding not even a week later to buy wheels.

Stock tires... Fúck they suck...

Oh, and Pirelli P-Zeros... They suck too, no grip for a R rated tire

Hello Kitty Decals. Apparently they don't provide +50 h.p.

People also look at you funny if you are 40 something adult male driving a sports car with Hello Kitty decals on it. Who'd have guessed.

Edit: covering them with Justin Bieber stickers isn't much of an improvement, you just gotta take those suckers off altogether.

Biggest suggestion I can add is buying a mod you will replace in the future.
Meaning if you plan to go boost down the line, avoid the intake upgrade as it is worthless later, save the money.

Serious answer: Any mod that involves modification of stock parts should either be extremely well thought out and considered, or you best have enough money to buy replacements should you change your mind or screw up.

I agree. I have seen mods that say this has to be cut or drilled. I stop reading right then and there.

If I could go back in time I would have never bought any other car cover except the NOAH car cover

The OEM, and two other aftermarket ones I bought never shielded my car from the rain like the NOAH does, even in a full storm my car is completely dry!

What are the other covers that you got so we can avoid them? I'm considering the CoverCraft WeatherShield HP.

I would've avoided wheel spacers and springs and would've waited for coils and aftermarket wheels.

I regret the pine-tree air freshener mod.
