Halon is awesome. We had a small fire start in an empty fuel tank (fuel residue, marine distillate) from welding being done in an adjacent compartment on a navy ship

Halon is awesome. We had a small fire start in an empty fuel tank (fuel residue, marine distillate) from welding being done in an adjacent compartment on a navy ship I was on. The fire sentry gave a quick blast of halon through the manhole into the fuel tank. Wow, put the fire out in just a few seconds.
