The first picture is an oem nismo exhaust. The second picture is a typical aftermarket exhaust. You sure it's not an oem nismo exhaust?

im thinking the previous owner did a muffler delete because it looks very similar to the oem nismo but its more like straight pipes throughout the whole thing instead of the muffler being connected to the tips.. is that a common thing to do?

Yea muffler delete is pretty common. The oem nismo exhaust has "nismo" marks on the tips. That will tell you if it's oem or aftermarket.

Mine does have the 'nismo' marks on the tips, but the tips are connected with straight pipes and not the muffler... im guessing this is mainly to make it sound more aggressive, because there is no way Nissan would produce something this loud

Expecting a dealership to know anything about any car that they're selling is like a expecting a hooker to have done a residency in OB/GYN; they're both just trying to sell you a product, regardless of how well they understand how it works.

18,ooo miles is a lot in a year.. at $32k, if it were me, I'd go ahead and buy brand new 2013 or 2014 for $43k.. I had a similar deal before i purchased mine, but this guy only had 3K miles on his.

well technically the car is 2 years old.. it was purchased by the previous owner back in January of 2012, so its been driven about 10,000/year

Yea... Dealership doesn't know what they are doing or they just don't care. They sold me a car that has 25% window tint on it and told me that was factory tint.

Why don't you bring this up and try to talk down the price or have them replace with the original exhaust.

lol, I have the ARK Grip. It's not a fake JDM, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I can't take anyone seriously who refers to mods as "JDM" anyways. Want real JDM? Import the whole car.

I will be going to the dealership to try to get them to install a brand new nismo exhaust.. also there was another thing that I was a bit concerned about, when going up a ramp, normally i'd give the car a bit more gas so it wont stall out.. but I've been noticing that when I press the gas as Im going up the ramp, there is a funny smell inside the car, if I had to guess I would say maybe fuel burning? but I don't see why it only occurs when Im going up a ramp

Wait, so you bought the car?

Sure that smell isn't the clutch? It won't take much especially if you're slipping it to get up ramps.
