That's your opinion. Some people may view a hobby such as pottery as a "waste of money". I don't like pottery but I certainly don't call it a waste money or time. What may seem as a waste to you isn't to others. I enjoy my hobby of modding my car. It's not all about trying to get the fastest 0-60 or 1/4 mile time.

well put, most mods are more aesthetics anyway
