I had SO3's on my previous car and had to get it patched. It never held pressure for more than 2 weeks, they had 3 goes at fixing it to no avail.

I had a patch on a Nitto Invo on my G, lasted 20k miles until I bought a new set, guess you were a bit unlucky.

Talk about unlucky. I had another puncture in the same tire about 3 weeks later and to my amazement the object that caused it went through the plug from the original puncture. The chances of that are a million to one. However, you could say I was lucky in this case as I didn't have another hole in my tire.

I've never heard of a reputable shop plugging or patching a sidewall.

can't patch it because it is on the wall of the tire. I took it to the dealer I bought the car from.
