No one is being a bad *** about anything. It's not rocket science...its just common sense...that's why it is so painfully obvious.

Interesting how people mention the unusual clutch-engagement...the first time I drove a G35 several years ago, it seemed as if I was over-revving the engine on every up-ship while driving aggressively, and for the life of me I could not figure out why. It was as if I was not letting off the throttle while shifting. Shifting prior to redline, say 5500 RPM, in WOT runs would cause the tach to jump well past 7000 RPM and make me seem like a complete n00b.

I then realized the engagement-point was well off most other cars, so I had to adjust my driving accordingly. It takes about two days to get used to any new car to rid yourself of any jerkiness and/or mistake.

Hey, that is exactly what happened when I test drove a G35 awhile back. I haven't really drive a manual after high school (I replaced my manual vehicle with a motorcycle and got an AT car for winter.) and I was thinking to myself "did I really forget how to drive a manual?" It was kind of embarrassing when you have your gf and a hot saleswoman riding along with you.

I drove a G37 afterward and noticed the different.

I have a 7AT and I noticed that my car is jerking when I'm slowing down. Anyone know what this could be? Seems to jerk when the car is pulling up to a stop sign or red light. Sometimes jerks when I leave a light or stop sign as well.

Wtf...that's called an automatic shifting up and down. Is this your first car?

I know what an automatic is. It feels like it is jerking more than usual. If you don't have anything good to contribute don't post anything at all.

Guess you can't help either. Valid question and trolls come on here posting junk.

Do you have it in D? or 'manual' mode?

If it's in manual mode and you're in a gear too low for your speed, you'll engine brake.

Maybe rather than bumper an old-*** thread with an offtopic post, you could have started a new one.

So you guys said just apply more gas to not get the jerk ?? well that's plain obvious

Now I have a problem with jerking at low RPMs also when driving in jammed traffic. Driving in 2nd gear, the car in front brakes, I let go of the clutch slowly (didnt want to go to neutral because the car in front would move pretty damn soon) and everything is fine, and then it jerks like 1 second later for maybe 2 times until the car in front moves and then I apply more gas then its fine and then it would happen again. The funny thing is it happens sometimes and sometimes it's smooth. Its my first manual car, so anyone mind sharing your experience on driving in jammed traffic would be much appreciated !!
