Z versus EVO thread!

Two weeks ago I couldn't take it anymore and got a Brilliant Silver Touring 6MT and got the windows tinted... Just got off the phone with Tony at Fast Intentions to get some info on the CBE that they have... I'm trying really hard to NOT do anything to this car, but I think I'm fighting a losing battle.

I honestly can say that I don't think I'll drive anything as quick as my EVO IX was. The acceleration was brutal, the steering telepathic AND it had a backseat and a trunk....

The 370 is SUCH a good looking car though that it makes up for the performance differences 95% of the time. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the abililty to outperform cars that cost more than double what I had in the Evo... I'm 47 years old and I guess it's time to grow up.... maybe just a little....

They are both great cars with different demographics and application specialties. I say enjoy whichever one you are lucky enough to drive.

Seriously this is what I don't get. Looks. I could build a Hyundia Pony that would eat an EVO for dinner and cost less. For that matter you could put wheels on a rock with an engine and make a faster car for less money but who cares - it still looks like crap!

There is a guy in town who built a 700HP 350Z. He says it was fun to build but it wasn't any fun to drive any more. HP isn't king....

Looks are subjective. I love the way Evos look (especially the IX and VI).

I still love driving my damn near 500awhp pump gas Evo FWIW.

I agree……….and I would give up a few tenths 0 to 60 for a car as beautiful as the 370Z vs. a quicker fugly looking one!
