Can't be. If it was made by Mitsubishi, it would have self-destructed. :rofl2:

Depends when do they normally release cars, early or later? If they do it before noon we would know before 10pm Eastern

Well, that's just fantastic. It'll be covered in v-tech stickers and claim to be just as good as the real Godzilla with a few mods.

No way -- that's just an ugly rumor!

That unreliable, heavy hunk of junk with the crude plastic interior and old pushrod engine had to be made by Chevy :icon18:

Although, I believe it was the first flex-fuel robot monster :icon17:

So I just looked at the Tokyo auto show website, and it states that the "Preview" hours are 17:30-20:00 on the 22nd. Guess that means 5:30PM, and that translates to 2:30AM CST on the 22nd. So it doesn't look like it will be this evening after all. Sorry, wishful thinking. Looking forward to seeing the new Z, but will always like the current Z.

Is it going to be a complete concept or close to a production model? I hate how awesome concepts look because production versions are so dumbed down.

I'll have personal lube at my computer desk so I can enjoy whatever eye candy they have to share :tiphat:

This is just a guess, but I would say close to production model. I think when they talk about concepts, they are referring to a car that they are considering building in the future, but haven't made a decision whether to build it or not. And from what I read, a concept car also can be intended to hint at a design or style direction they are considering for the future, and showing the concept is in part to gauge public response. If the new Z is scheduled to come out in 2015, a year or less away, they would have to be very close to the final design and specs. Like I said just a guess.

This journalist says Nissan head faked it:
