Uhm, you think the S2000 is being allowed to disappear? Honda makes roughly 9k S2000s per year for sale in the US, and they have continued to do so for over 10 years now. Changes have been made in both performance (most notably the engine/redline change) and style (a little more subtle). I guess I fail to see how continuing to output the same # of vehicles per year for over a decade can be considered letting it disappear. Maybe people don't pay as close of attention to it as when it was first produced, but that's hardly Honda's fault.

Carlos Ghosn wouldnt let the Z die...by reviving both the Z and GT-R here in the US market it has boosted interest in Nissan from many people in a younger generation which is exactly what they want.

I was one of the lucky 890. And it is true about the availability of the desired configuration. I only found 1 in the color/options I wanted within a 500 mile radius. So it came home with me. I thought for sure the Salesmen would try to stick firm to the MSRP price. In the beginning they offered the car to me with a $1000 market adjustment value increase. Because they knew how hard it was to get this configuration but I talked them down!
Dealers can only hold firm for so long. Any sale is a good sale for dealers at this point in time.
