Cyclists don't have the right to ride 30mph under the speed limit and in the middle of the lane in CA. They must go as far over as possible if they can't keep up with the speed limit. Most of the time they ride in groups and side by side while going slowly. I think they should just get off the road.

If these idiots would just get over to the right when they're not passing, then everything would be fine and dandy.

Question is, what's a large lane and what's a small lane (most of the lanes in Hawaii are small, thus they can ride in the center), plus how far right to the curb is right? Just be patient and considerate out there.

I typically do what is necessary to make space between myself and other drivers. Sometimes I accelerate, sometimes I brake, sometimes I go into slalom mode. I can usually influence the other drivers behavior with my presence and by simply doing little things. In my 300ZXtt I could sneak up on bikes (without trying) and startle them with an engine rev.

With the 370 and it's loudness, this has never happened.

which highway carries traffic in one direction only and has two or
more marked traffic lanes, may ride as near the left-hand curb or
edge of that roadway as practicable.

Fact is these bicyclists that ride side by side or in big packs are breaking the law.

I drive fast cars and am also a cyclist. I don't tolerate ignorant idiots in either group..

My goal on the highway is typically to find a big gap in the traffic and set cruise control. I drive the side streets a lot during my daily commute to avoid traffic as much as possible.

Well, that's what I saw this morning. I switched over and drove past her, and she switched over and continued driving no more than 50 MPH slowing a bunch of people down on the right lane. Imagine the urge to bully such driver haha.

People who drive in the left lane like that makes me rage the most!:driving::mad:
