I have been down to 1 dot and 0 dots plenty of times and never had this problem

IMO, out of all the problems this chassis has experienced over its lifetime, this is the worst one. To me, it's just a completely unacceptable design flaw.

Usually I'm not on the accelerator much when I'm down that low because I just want to get to the gas station but I definitely been on the gas and corners with less than 7 dots.

Im in the same boat I have done this at least three times and have not had this issue yet.

I have had it happen a few times and im boosted so its very scary! I do think if you are at WOT coming out of the corner your chances of this happening are very high.

I do not see how it is possible to be down to 1 or 0 dots and not have this happen. It got me with 3/4 of a tank once. Granted I need more fuel and was screaming up an on ramp.

This is without a doubt a problem that needs fixing!

All you guys saying you go down to 0 or 1 dots and it not happening are not reading how to recreate this issue. Take it down that low and then go on a long right had corner while applying power. I guarantee you will fuel starve in this scenario. Have your tow hook handy :)

I was able to get it started again the first attempt the engine turned but never fired after letting it sit for 5 minutes it fired back up

Isn't 6-7 dots almost half a tank? :icon14:

With out looking i thinks it's just above a quarter tank there's 19 -20 dots I believe got bored in traffic and counted one day

red2010z 07-23-2013 10:14 AM

KNOCKED ON WOOD!

Never had a issue and I have ran it almost bone dry. <15 miles to empty.

Vichtz 07-23-2013 10:27 AM

i agree with the minority here. I have been 1 to 2 dots in hard turns and had no issues what so ever...

kittens 07-23-2013 10:32 AM

There are 16 dots I think at least in my '09.. I've been down to 0 dots also but this thread will make me fill up earlier

cossie1600 07-23-2013 10:42 AM

I just verified. I was at 6 dot when it happened, it dropped to 5 dot when I stalled.

Just have your AAA ready when it happens. I can't believe it cut out that easy on the street argg

kenchan 07-23-2013 11:05 AM

this is odd, cause i do quick right turns often and wot if open road... and no issue. must be something on your car, cossie.

i fill at 1/2 tank. hope you get that fixed.

Mitco39 07-23-2013 11:10 AM

I had 4 dots when it happened, the gauge dropped to no dots and the car stalled. I turned the key on and sat there for awhile with the pump on. There must have been just enough fuel to transfer back over cuz in about 2-3 minutes I was good to go again.

It does indeed suck though.

kenchan 07-23-2013 11:16 AM

maybe im not taking my right turns faast enough.

should both my right tires be off the ground while i make this fast right turn?

Mitco39 07-23-2013 11:24 AM

I was doing oh probably about 80-85 mph around a on-ramp onto the freeway. Left a beamer in the dust till the car quit, lol.
