Favorite Minor Feature On Your Z

Now retired and "with too much time on my hands." So let me ask, "What's your favorite minor feature on your Z?" Mine is the "dance" the gauge needles do when the Z first starts. Gotten a lot of complements on those from passenger/guests.
If you don't care to comment, fine, but ridicule is not welcome.

DEpointfive0 07-05-2013 11:43 AM

Tail lights? Or is that too big?
I have the JDM ones and I LOVE them

blackcherry20 07-05-2013 11:46 AM

Side view mirror -admiring the fat fenders. Sigh.

enkei2k 07-05-2013 11:51 AM

The fact that the speedometer reads up to 180 mph.

As silly as it may sound, that was one of the requirements of my purchase.

kenchan 07-05-2013 11:52 AM

i like the screws on the engine under shroud. so many of them it makes it sound like im really working on my car when im just doing an oil change.

w0rM 07-05-2013 11:53 AM

I actually love that the side markers blink with the turn signals.

Wow? Really? You'd think they'd do all the models in the "world ready" approach. Do they sell the G in Europe?

Mitco39 07-05-2013 12:05 PM

I love the deep rumble when you first start it when its doing its thing trying to warm up.

Fixed  (I have TPs)

fonzo179 07-05-2013 12:17 PM

Gotta be the glow/design of the gauges.
When it's pitch black outside, and I'm returning to the Z, it makes me feel like a million bucks each time I approach that driver's door.

JungleZ 07-05-2013 12:19 PM

The fangs

Bking 07-05-2013 12:27 PM

I like how the key fob and the steering wheel has a "Z" on them.

bdavis89 07-05-2013 12:30 PM

I thought it was awesome that it had the little storage area behind the seats, then I went crazy when I discovered the part that opens behind the passenger.

Montez 07-05-2013 12:35 PM

Z emblem on fenders!

jburke26 07-05-2013 12:37 PM

The car does not constantly beep at me if I don't have my seat belt on. I usually wear my seat belt but sometimes I do take it off to reach for my wallet or just going around the block. I can not stand cars that try to act like my nanny.

Grindkiezer 07-05-2013 12:49 PM

Roll down the windows from outside the car

Z-Girl 12 07-05-2013 12:58 PM

The rumble from the morning start up...makes me smile every morning.

ElVee 07-05-2013 12:59 PM

There are several, but the only one I can think of at the moment is the gas cap hook inside the cover.

(Been without the Z for a bit due to all sorts of reasons that just end up keeping me in the DD.)

I do *really* like the blinking side indicators. It's weird, but I appreciate safety and indicators in cars so I know when and where they're turning. Using signal lights is a pet peeve of mine... :ugh2:

Mmmmrrrrr????? :confused::confused:
What degree of madness is this? lol Please enlighten this n00b (me, very proud of my n00bage) on how this works.
And no....I have not taken time to read the manual. Way too much man-pride for that :icon17:

I think you just hold the unlock button for a few more seconds after the initial unlock and they roll down until you let go.

Unlock, then hold it

Victory! My mind has been blown.
I must nibble on a saltine cracker like a squirrel for a few seconds...wondering why my life has betrayed me.

When I read the thread this is exactly what I thought of too, love that on start up along with the media system (NAV)

SRM is also a nice feature, makes my exhaust sond like the meanest thing ever on downshifts. I sound like a boss during Time attack sessions

Brutal 370Z 07-05-2013 01:53 PM

If SRM counts as a small thing, that's probably my favourite. No other car has it. I also like the blinking side emblems but not as unique as SRM.

Bking 07-05-2013 01:54 PM

I also like the *** fog light. I flash it to people all the time.

Fountainhead 07-05-2013 02:12 PM

Mine is twofold, first the press little silver button on the door handle to lock and the annunciator, instead of a HORN that tells you he's locked. Second, when I go into a store and wifey stays in the car (AC on), he beeps 3x to tell me "hurry back" when I leave with the keys in my pocket!

Huh? Please define "annunciator."

:iagree:

Another favorite is i love how the gauges move with the steering wheel so there is never an obstructed view of the gauges.

Another favorite... I think the illuminated kick plates make the Z look classy. And i like how every other sub-premium brand went crazy copying this feature from the Z after media reaction to them in late 2008. Nissan does a lot of small cool things first.

Brutal 370Z 07-05-2013 02:28 PM

^ by annunciator, he probably means the subtle double beep sounds rather than the sound of the horn when you press the button on the door handles

Along these same lines (because I like that too), when you pull in at night and shut it off, the needles just glow red (they turn off when you open the door or just sit for a bit). For some reason that caught my eye and I thought, "Wow. Awesome."

the car knows the way i drive and realizes a seat beat wont save me so why beep at him lol :bowrofl:

i was gonna use this as my fav feature as well.

Ahh, yes the "beep, beep." Now I understand. "Annunciator" was way over my head, as I only have eight years of post high school education :)!

Yes this is a good one as well. The beeps are much better than a blaring horn busting your ear drums and waking up every single person in the neighborhood. IE. Hondas

Brutal 370Z 07-05-2013 03:27 PM

Another nice little feature is the Z symbol on the key FOB instead of Nissan logo. I like that :-) It looks better when I put it on the table at a restaurant lol

Either it only comes on Canadian models or maybe a 2010-2011+ thing

You take yours out of your pocket?? Mine never leaves it until I'm home for the night.

Mine's got a Z on it as well. It's not a regional thing.
