Criminal behavior tells us the old addage "a good criminal returns to the scene of the crime" holds true. Look for anyone whom observes your Z with a cheese-ball expression on their face. Or someone acting strange if they come around your Z when normally they would never do it. Patiently grill anyone near your apartment whom says anything about the scratch marks.

LEO's normally catch bad guys that are nearby because as humans we instinctively "twitch" when we know we're about to get in trouble (bad drivers drive worse when squad cars are on patrol close by).

I had to removed my sensitive alarm to avoid this recently.
I live in a APT and park on the streets, didn't want to bother a neighbor
with the alarm going off easily.

I would be so angry. I can't think of much that would make me angrier. I remember the last time something like that happened to my car, I was furious.. and I'm a very calm sort of person.

Agree with looking into insurance claim. And dashcam. I bet it was someone who knows you, given they did both sides, so severely. Could be some idiot kid but this seems more personal to me
