Dealership wants to repaint my new Z cause of scratches ???

Have you spoken with Nissan Corporate? Sometimes and I stress only sometimes they are willing to figure out a better solution. I would feel very much deceived by the dealer

Have you spoken with Nissan Corporate? Sometimes and I stress only sometimes they are willing to figure out a better solution. I would feel very much deceived by the dealer if the paint was in that condition. But I do have a feeling that they will turn it around and say it was your job to inspect the car before taking delivery. This is why I tell the dealer to leave the plastic wrap on the car, and wont take delivery of an unwrapped car.

When I bought my Z the dealer ignored my request and detailed the car putting swirls in the paint. I was able to get another 1500 off the price at closing because of their stupidity.

I did call Nissan Consumer Affairs after the dealer was 3 weeks late on paying the independent detail shop that did the last 300.00 buff job on the paint and the guy wanted his money. I also found out that the dealer listed their phone number as my contact through Nissan, I can only assume for the new car survey ? I was asked to take it to another dealer for what they called a diagnosis. I did and the service manager and recon manager confirmed what I had been saying about the scratches all over the car, the service manager even left my a voicemail and text message on my phone as proof. Nissan was able to have the selling dealer pay the detail shop which was in writing and already agreed upon, but said after careful consideration it was not a defect with their workmanship and the dealer is and independent proprietor and I would have to try and work something out with them. I wish I could charge the dealer an hourly rate for all the time, effort and disappointment I've had to deal with since I took delivery of my Z. Great car, lousy customer service.
