whatever, just let them think whatever they want, cuz at the end of the day VQ37VHR > VQ35HR

i like how they try to make a statement by putting "350Z HR" instead of "350Z"

also i just noticed they call our engine the VQ37HVR
At least the HR doesn't overheat.

that has nothing to do with the motor itself. yes nissan fk'd up on not adding a oil cooler, but not everyone has that problem, therefore VQ37VHR > VQ35HR

To be accurate, the HR engine doesn't have a "limp" mode if the oil temp gets above a certain point. Nissan discovered that they were having bearing issues when the oil temp went about 300 (due to the materials of their bearings being changed a few years back) so installed the limp mode to compensate. Haven't really seen a good study on HR oil temps under stress yet.

I am trying to install some Oil Temp and water temp gauges in my NISMO before I go to the track again, but with my time lately I haven't gotten around to working on that. I want to install it before the oil cooler to see what temps the HR gets up too. But I know from one guy he said his never got above 240 on the track.

My friend has done a few HPDE's in his bolt-on '07 350z. He hasn't done any datalogging (Uprev's Cipher software) yet on the track but he's seen as high as 230's on the street already.

The 370 makes just a little bit more HP per liter, so I'd expect it to run just a tiny bit hotter, but certainly not too much.
