Without some addition, the view from the Z is one giant blind spot. I characterize it as driving a submarine. Wife's new Volvo has BLIS. I'd love to have it on the Z. It's already available on the new Altima and Accord and will eventually be on the Z and most cars.

Does it look weird in blue? Does it bother you that they don't make them in normal mirror?

No, not weird at all.. The blue tint looks really good, gives it a high-end effect. My wife is Filipino (Short) and wouldn't drive the car because of the blind spots. I got her a pillow to sit on and the mirror inserts. Now she drives it all the time.

Whats weird is seeing a really nice 370Z with tons of work done to it with a round or square small concave mirror stuck on. It works but not visually pleasing. That's what I had before, so i went with the blue tinted inserts.

Do these work with the defrost feature of the OEM mirrors? I don't have blind spot issues, but that's just cool.

Once I adjusted the mirror so that just the very edge of the door handle is visible at the edge of the mirror, the blind spot went away. I don't need to see the side of the car, I know where that is. To be fair, I can imagine backing up is a huge pain in the *** without the camera.

I came from 10 years of Miata driving where the blind spots are even worse with the top up so the mirror adjustment is second nature. I agree about backing out of a space though, I just go super slow so, hopefully, someone sees me if I don't see them!

Go slowly, listen for a horn, right?

My sister's got a Miata. There's no visibility with the top up at all. It's a fun little car. I just wish I could drive it. Size 13EE feet don't allow one to hit only the gas or brake. It's both.

Yeah, I had a lot of fun in my little NA. I had to remove the door pull and the visors to fit in the car...lol. When sitting straight up with the top down I could almost see over the windshield. My feet are normal width so that wasn't a problem but due to my height and proportions I'm physically incapable of heel-toe shifting so I'm loving the SRM in the Z!

Absolutely! Angle the mirrors out so you have to move your head to the left or right to see the side of the car. No more blind spot.

I learned a long time ago to have the mirrors adjusted so I can barely see the side of the vehicle. This gives a better angle and blind spot coverage to help with the blind spot. It took some time to get used to the view, but now, I believe it really helps.

There are still some bad blind spots, especially when backing out of a parking spot. Backing in to the spot helps when you have to leave.
