I would do all the dealing via email and phone since it's so far away. That way you have it in writing. If everything sounds right, make the trek, test drive the car, and then proceed with the purchase with the terms laid out via email. Just don't get too attached in case the dealer suddenly changes the pricing or can no longer to a certain pricing.
As much as I want a car, I have no problem walking out in the middle of negotiations after several failed attempts with the dealer to find a comfortable compromise for me. |
