you have to realize they used an mr model which would attomatically add .05 sec on from the launch and that puts the gsr very close to the z..and for the amount of money a tt kit for the z would be the evo would be much faster and have more hp..especially around a track because while the z will have a traction issue and less hp for the money the x will still have grip loads of traction and more hp...not trying to be biased just stating facts...and still in the thought process

so u're saying the gsr which is not as well quipped as the mr will make a faster time than the better equipped mr by 0.05 sec? well then, obviously the 370z is still faster! the evo's lap time, per your "correction value", is 1.28.17, well what do u know, u beat the z4, congrats. but really now, u're still slower by at least .67 seconds

They are vastly different cars. My friend has a 600+ RWHP Evo IX that runs on ethanol. I have never been in a car as fast, but it's been turned into a total drag queen.

I would suggest most people bought the Z, because it has two seats, RWD, and a simple 6 speed gearbox.

Honestly, most people that have driven AWD and RWD cars have a preference.

If you want cheap power, you buy the EVO. If you love AWD, you buy the EVO. If you need the extra room, you buy the EVO.

The Z fills the niche of what most people would consider a sports car. Two seats, RWD, 6 speed gearbox. Until the entry of the Genesis coupe, there was nothing else that compares to the Z, without drastically increasing the price.

The two behave and drive quite differently. I would think a serious test drive in both, would answer the question of the chassis dynamics, lay out etc you would prefer

first off the mr is no longer a more performance oriented version of the evo (the 2010's are getting a sun roof and leather seats) haha your really excited about .67 sec quicker lap? the car has four doors less power (on a stock tune) and weighs more ,and its that close..no one that buys an evo leaves it stock for anytime at all because they are made as a base for aftermarket parts (thats why they didn't come with direct injection so the injectors can be upgraded with out much expense)..what would have happens if they used a fq-320 360 or 400 model...the 400 is a competitor to your cars big brother, and its a 4 cylinder!. and should i mention that the evo is a RALLY car..would you like to put a 370 against an evo on its home turf... no doubt both are great performing cars and i like to be open to different cars and appreciate their strong points...thats why i am on this forum

So let me get this straight, u abused the sh*t out of someone's car and only god knows how u abused the clutch and transmission AND you are NOT going to buy it. Now that's shallow and plain disrespectful!
So u are also saying u had to increase the boost on ur eclipse to keep up with a stock z that's not even broken in o_O and that "flat spot" is called N/A which ur boosted eclipse can't even keep up with.

i really don't give a sh*t if the mr is no longer a performance orientated version for 2010, doesn't change a thing since top gear tested an 08 model and mitsu never released the '10 model yet. the 370z still beats ur evo.
i think u should go read the specs on the mr vs gsr, mr has upgraded suspensions. and who was the one crying over time a page or 2 ago
