Once you actually get on the track is when you realize that none of this sh1t even matters. It's more about driver experience/skill than anything else. You could give the same car to 10 different drivers on a track and get 10 wildly different times.

That was an article i had read a few years ago now, Mustang Gt street vs Track. But couldn't find that article again cuz i don't remember who published it.

You're a smart guy, quit deflecting the topic. There's $750 and a lifetime ban in play here...offer good through the end of the day.

I really hope the article includes support for this line:

Randy said pretty much what i'm saying about IRS in general. With that, i was just making a point about your type of debating.

Get lost douche.

So do you admit this article doesn't exist? You fabricated a story to support your claims?

Bucketlist2012 05-28-2013 02:42 PM

Funny how Unknown 370 is always so angry....Thanks for quoting him, otherwise I cannot read his posts.....

And the namecalling ? Anger and not very composed....

Why do you think he is on my Ignore list ? And maybe if he keeps up the namecalling, we won't have to worry about him when the administrator removes him ...:tiphat:

Plus the useless comparisons of muscle cars to the Z is annoying. Let me know when the 240 was ever a muscle car. Or any other Z. They have been sporscars from day 1 in an affordable package. They were never muscle or street/drag racers by design.

Even the motoring press know that. The comparison is price only, the competition in class is the Cayman among others like it.

I'll agree with you on that. I do not understand the musle car comparisons either.

If I want straight line power I go for the Mustang, Firebird, Camaro or Vette. Especially if I'm going to gut it. Who cares about the interior then?

If I want tossability I'll go with the Z. The Vette with magnetic ride is close but, it is so much bigger that it's not as nimble as the Z or transitions as well in my opinion. However, I have not had both at the same road course ever.
The competition mode on the Vette might make a difference on the track. However, on the street I'll take the Z every time for ease of use, getting around and parking situations. Those big doors on American Muscle suck.

Unless you guys have been under a rock for the past 3-4 years... you would realize that GM and Ford are pushing their muscle cars into the sports car realm.

Thus the comparison... because aside from whatever image you may have in your head... they are infact comparable in a multitude of ways...

NO I do not... BUT why are you entering an over 2 year old post to this thread? What is your point other than douchebaggery???? i didnt rehash that shyt you did

zeeder 05-28-2013 02:53 PM

I always thought that the Corvette was classified as a sports car and not a muscle car. I certainly don't think of the Corvette when I think of muscle cars.

And no offense to all you Z guys... but if I were to cross shop a Cayman... it wouldnt be with a 370z... look at the price point in that market...

However, some times they won't let you go to the track or beat up on their car during a test drive. So, a test drive on the street gives me little information about how the car will really perform.
