You should test drive one, or even better ride along with someone on a curvy road. You might be surprised. I know I was when m4a1 took me for a ride in his.

Or just go for a car with with an IRS suspension which everyone in this thread has already admitted is the superior solution.

You're one friend... is just that... one. My friend just so happens to be a Ford service manager... and he loves the things. Does this counter you're statement equally?

All I can say is he has been a loyal Mustang fan for years. I have been too. I just do not think the interior quality is there. Let me mention that I also test drove a Mach 1 before I bought my 350Z. Then when I was considering the Mustang yet again prior to the purchase of the 370Z; my stopped me from going to Ford by saying "One of my friends is having issues with her Mustang and Mustangs were for kids in High School. Vettes and Z's are for those of us that are not trying to relive our past." I think she got that right. I always have loved Mustangs and imo right now they just are not as well built or good looking inside and out. That is subjective I know but, I do have a lot of quality control experience to back it up. Just look at the dash. It's awful... :roflpuke2:

Don't get me wrong ... I'd still like to own a Boss Mustang someday but, I'm not thinking it's a better built vehicle and I'd buy a extended warrantee for sure.

I've taken plenty of bumpy corners on the street in my Zs and my Mustang. The rear end of the Mustang only gets upset on a road bumpy enough to upset the Z as well.

But obviously my experience doesn't count so I will defer to you. You're right, the Mustang can't corner on anything but a flat surface.

Doesn't mean you can't make the other setup work. And like Red mentioned earlier, you can't just pick any IRS unit and automatically be better. There are plenty of mediocre to god-awful setups out there.

Long gone I imagine... This thread went sort of sideways. It's been fun though. That's what we're here for in my opinion of course. :ughdance:

Everyone knows Mustangs can't turn. They're kind of like Derek Zoolander, except they can't turn left or right.

Tell me about it. My Z hops sideways on bumps while making a left turn. It takes awhile for it to regain consciousness to get it moving. At the same time VDC was killing power in the middle of the turn. O_o

m4a1mustang 05-29-2013 12:12 AM

Tomorrow I'm going to try not slowing down for any turns.
