:iagree: with one thing. No one can be as much as a dumb azzz as you... In that fact :iamwithstupid: But as for everything else he wrote... You might want to read his thread history before holding this opinion with any validity. :ban: |

See the shifting at 2300 RPM troll thread. |
A Z will definitely be the looker in that group, moreso than the Genesis.
Not to poke the big elephant in the room too hard, but I would definitely think twice and three times about getting a new car just because you want to fit in with the work crowd. Standing out might be nice: Mr. youthful with his go-fast car and less debt....etc. :) Who knows, just throwing some non-performance thoughts out there! |

If so then don't think the 370z fits your needs because you'll need to go FI to put out numbers like that. 370z is definitely a looker but for business purposes and visiting/impressing clients you might want a luxury car like a G37 (you'd have to boost the G37 to get those numbers too) or maybe an IS-F if it fits your budget. |
I currently drive an 09 335i and im actually in the process of selling it to get myself into a z possibly a new nismo if eveything works out as planned. I'm assuming you'd be buying preowned if your looking at 335i's since the 09's are in the low 30's and im guessing the genesis is worth close to that range but anyway without sounding like a run on sentence i'd just like give you my 2 cents, the 335i is my daily driver and it was a nice experience at first but it gets so dreadfully boring after dd it for so long, had a hard time finding a stick with the right options, mine is fully loaded so I had to settle for the msport package paddle shifters, that being said its really really really boring and the maintenance on this car is crazy it's in every month since i've owned it for one of bmw's recall notices (thank god it's under factory warranty still because the invoices are shocking), anyway this is 100% my opinion based on my experience with the car I don't wanna scare you but I thought i'd share my experience. As many would agree you can't beat the reliability of a japanese car, also 99% of my car's problems have been with the cars electric system which bmw is known for. The major problems I had were the ecu and other components of the electrical system failing ranging from the idrive system (which blows in my opinion), to the engine malfunction warning on 5 times in the last year because the fuel pump went twice another issue the n54 engine is known for. Not to mention its about $80 every 5 days to fill up were I live.

BTW, I love my Z, and I've had z06's, Vipers, and FFR Cobras.. |
Agree but maybe ill enjoy the Z more?
Even tough my car on a dyno makes 400WHP to make it go 401WHP i have to spend alot of money full engine built, new turbo, etc, etc, and if i go with a bigger turbo, then i have to wait until i hit 4.5k rpm to get a full spool out of it, and my redline is 6.6k so i only get that 400 + whp for 2k rpm... I think that for daily driving like regular trafic driving a z may be more responsive at least from 1k to 5k rpm... And later i can add a supercharger or a turbo to it and get that crazy top end? lol now im just trying to convince my self Like i also have few friends that ride supras, evos, and they are up there 700+ and to get even close to 700 on my gen i probably have to drop 20k on it... and ill be the first one to do it, so it will not be reliable, and will have a hard *** time finding a tuner... With the 370z many of you guys with internal and twin turbos (15k i believe) are making that safe power... |

One thing that i really like is the support you guys get... look: Forced Induction - Nissan 370Z Forum first 7 post is from companies selling and supporting mods for you guys... You know how many companies are willing to push the genesis past 400 whp? Only one TurboXS... and everytime u change something in your car you cant get it custom tuned it has to be canned tuned which makes you run rich as hell...

2011 370Z = 23000$ Twin Turbo= $10-15,000 Springs + Shocks or Coilovers/sway bars= $1500-$3000 Tires,rear camber kit, Alignment= $2000 Uprev Tuning= ? still alottt i own 23 on my genesis, ill be lucky if i get that for it.. and have about 12k mods on it |
If you had the 350Z and loved it, you won't be disappointed with the 370Z. Interior is much improved over the 350Z, and I still like it very much till this very day. Since you seem to have experience in the modding world, the 370Z has pretty good support.
Depending on your budget, an '09 can be bought for under $25k. There are several turbo options, and GTM's MHI TT kit seems to hit the spot when it comes to price. It'll definitely get you around 500 whp, which is plenty of power. I'm at 450 whp, and it's enough to shred tires with a big fat grin on my face. Power aside, this car sounds great with an aftermarket exhaust. If you want nice and deep sounding without the rasp, it is definitely possible. So for starters, look at a TT/SC kit for around $5500-7500, 3" exhaust, oil cooler for around $450, aftermarket clutch/flywheel kit, and heavy duty slave cylinder (stock ones will fail), and gauges. Speaking of tires, deep wheels with appropriate offset, fat tires, and a slight drop FTW! |
if you actually bother to take a look at truecar it will clearly tell you that the factory invoice for a 370Z with sport package and nothing else is $34,781 unlike what some people spout out of their mouth here who don't even bother to do research and just to name one dealer who is actually selling at that price here is a link to fontana nissans website 2013 Nissan 370Z in Fontana | Nissan Dealer Fontana | Fontana Nissan Dealer | Nissan Dealer Fontana | Fontana Nissan
