metal to metal = scratch?

wood or puck = no scratch

It is metal to metal but hasn't even blemished the paint.

I'm sure a thin coat of Teflon sprayed on the adapter wouldn't hurt.

Those rail adapters are nice! But...they're $64!

For as rarely as I jack my vehicle, a hockey puck is $1.50 and the magnets were $2.25 each.

No possibility of the hockey puck splitting along the grain. As a percentage of what I've spent on the car, $1.50 per puck is the same as free.

I paid either $20 or $25. Can't remember the exact cost. Shipping was free.

I'd pay that, no problem but they're $64 for a set of four now, $70 if you buy direct from their website.

I only bought one. Since I have to move my floor jack to the other side of the car, I just move the pinch rail adapter with it. The set of 4 is a waste IMO. When I lift my car from the front jacking point, it raises the entire side of the car. I'm able to set both front and rear jack stands for that side.

Need four for a 4-point lift, or to put the car on jackstands.

I live in California. Where do you suppose I would find a hockey puck???

They look like Hostess Ding Dongs to me.

Does California allow its citizens access to Amazon.com?

Amazon.com: ding dongs: Grocery & Gourmet Food

Or

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss...3Ahockey+pucks

Yes, we recently passed legislation that allows purchases from Amazon.

Dude, I was kidding.
