That looks real good, I have a couple of chips, I been wanting to use Dr. Color Chip but I am afraid that I will screw it up and make my chips worse.

Dr. Colorchip makes a fantastic product. All their paints are hand-mixed on site per order.

Order the complete kit- you won't use all of it, but it's great to have some reserve for the eventual chip that pops up.

Also, read the directions thoroughly and follow them completely. Be patient. The results will be excellent.

It holds up how you would expect- take care of it with a sealant and wax and it'll stay pristine for quite a while.

If you get blobs for any reason or need to get rid of blobs due to touchups in the past, use Langka blob remover to get rid of them. Enjoy.

It's cake. The kit comes with everything you need, including a nitrile glove. Just read the directions thoroughly and don't rush it.

Some deeper chips may need a couple of applications of the paint. If the paint doesn't "fill" the chip, you'll have to add more paint when that paint has dried. Don't try to add more paint until the first paint has cured, otherwise it'll never level properly and you'll be wasting your time.

OH ONE TIP. MAKE SURE YOU WIPE YOUR SURFACE WITH A DISINFECTANT OR SOME FORM OF ALCOHOL BEFORE HAND OR THIS WILL NOT WORK! That is the BIGGEST thing.

cool... i would definitely be using my RC car motor spray. that's one serious degreaser that does not hurt my paint, and doens't stink like brake cleaner.

will definitely be giving this a shot this summer. i need outside temps to be higher.

I've tried this stuff and I'd say it's about 80% effective. It's not perfect, but the chips will be a lot less noticeable. I find that it works best on the really small chips. For chips larger than 1/16" of an inch, you're better off with touch-up paint. The way it works is, you dab the chip with the paint, swipe with your finger to level, let dry and rub the overspray with the blending solution. I'd order it with extra solution by the way. The basic comes with a tiny 1 oz bottle. Applying the blending solution is the tricky part. Too much and you remove all the paint you applied....too little and you'll still see paint globs.

...and you definitely need to removed any wax and contaminants before applying this stuff so it adhears properly. I usually clay bar and follow up with IPA wipedown.
