I can't get out of my head as to why NISSAN pulled HP number from NISMO and IPL to 350HP 348HP with just high flow CBE and tune.

The intakes did not change!

NISSAN has pulled everything they can out of the 3.7L setup! so why on earth do we think an aftermarket business like Stillen or Injen knows best and is able to make more HP then OEM???

If that is the case why does NISSAN pay there engineers $100 per hour to get as much HP as they car? why not just build a setup like Injen or Stillen?

I understand you want that added HP at 6500K but at WOT with OEM, I don't feel anything more or less with the Injen setup just that the Injen and Stillen are louder!!

I took apart my whole intake setup and after looking at it, it's very good design.

So why is the aftermarket setups making more HP or seem to be?

I will be getting my car dyno at Z-days to see my WHP with stock intakes and F.I CBE with tune.
Its true that Nissan probably has the best design intake and exhaust combo , as on the Nismo, most of it is a marketing ploy to get you to shell out the extra $8K for the Nismo over the base model.

Nissan could have put the same parts on the base model, then no one buys the Nismo.

Nissan's hands are also tied by the EPA regs. Aftermarket companies offer their exhausts and intakes with the usual disclaimer that they are for off road use only or track use.

So the aftermarket companies can pull a few extra hp with open flow thru systems.

If you have an out of warranty Z or bought a used one out of warranty , you could play around a lot with the exhaust and intake system and not really worry about anything.

But with a new car under warranty, I wouldn't want to run the risk of voiding the warranty or having to store an old exhaust system and intake system , that I would have to reinstall if I have to take the car in for a warranty related issue. Its simply not worth the BS.

How much did it cost you $$$$ to add all this to your 370z?

I think the real issue is you are not really getting 324HP.. What is your 0-60 times with that much HP. Also at what RPM are you making all that HP at?

I think if you took off your intakes you lose only about 3HP.

I love to know!

i have dyno sheets proving my WHP not some internet troll research that is all wrong aka you're retarded logic.

i have one of the top all motor street tire 1/4 mile times on the forum as well so i think my 0-60 is pretty good as well.

now if you're done trolling maybe you can go crawl into a hole and stay out of the big boy talks.

I think it's very funny how you can't give out numbers!

you should know what your 0-60 times are! what's the point of making like 324WHP in which is like 404 HP from the crank? so please tell us all how you are making all that HP but don't even know what your numbers are ?

The best way to get more HP , is to just trade in your car on a higher HP car, like a Vette , Camaro, or Mustang and be done with it !

The best way to spend your money on a new sports car after buying it is really in protecting it.

After buying my Z the first things I did to it was, the clear paint bra, ballistic nylon seat covers, window tint, molded floor mats and replaced the plastic under belly with an aluminum alloy one that allows quick access for oil changes. Total cost was around $1100 and it goes a long way to protecting the car and your investment at time of resale.

That's why it makes more sense to just put the extra cash you have towards GAS and say hell with the street dork mods, most are really useless for a street driven car.

i can see your point but why buy a SPORTS CAR if you are not gonna have fun with it? go buy a audi A4 or some 3 series bmw if thats what you want. it sounds like you're just buying your car for the name/status so you look cool. no offense but seems like it. and if GAS is a concern of yours go buy a prius you cheap bastard.

i swear this site needs to screen people before letting them on

It also depends what you are taking the car in for warranty work !

Lets says its an engine failure or some other serious repair issue, I wouldn't want to risk them voiding the warranty , due to the mods.

The other issue is that you throw away a lot of cash that on these parts for very little HP increase, and in 3-4 yrs. you sell the car and all the extra parts you put into it do nothing to increase the resale value and in most cases a highly modded car is worth less at resale or trade in time.
