I bet you 80% of time people who buy aftermarket CAI end up putting them up for sale in a few months? why because they wake up and see they lost $500-600 on something that only looks good and gives more sound!

Unless you are tracking your car and running near 6500Rpm with CAI you would get more topend power.

But that's it!

My intakes are gorgeous compared to stock. They sound much better than stock at 4K+ RPMs. The R2C filters are significantly better performing filters than OEM. I put the car on a dyno after the install, but I don't have a baseline to compare them to stock. Thus I don't have any numbers to claim, and I honestly don't even care. Please try again to explain to me why the stock intakes are so much better...

Your arguments are terrible generalizations with no evidence, and therefore invalid and baseless, as well as stupid :tiphat:

You do understand that dry paper filters are better at keeping more fine dust out of the intake system? you can't have highflow and dirt holding at 99%..

Most aftermarket filters are at 98-97% dirt holding.

Bob the oil guy did some testing on 5 filters and all of them let in more dirt then OEM!

[QUOTE=FPenvy;2249123]i still am in warranty with intake and exhaust. called the local nissan garage since i need a part replaced and they said no problem. warranty still honored.[/QUOTE

It also depends what you are taking the car in for warranty work !

Lets says its an engine failure or some other serious repair issue, I wouldn't want to risk them voiding the warranty , due to the mods.

The other issue is that you throw away a lot of cash that on these parts for very little HP increase, and in 3-4 yrs. you sell the car and all the extra parts you put into it do nothing to increase the resale value and in most cases a highly modded car is worth less at resale or trade in time.

I think the real issue is you are not really getting 324HP.. What is your 0-60 times with that much HP. Also at what RPM are you making all that HP at?

I think if you took off your intakes you lose only about 3HP.

I love to know!

that's why we remove the Mine's rear spoiler when we take in for engine failure, just to be safe!

i have dyno sheets proving my WHP not some internet troll research that is all wrong aka you're retarded logic.

i have one of the top all motor street tire 1/4 mile times on the forum as well so i think my 0-60 is pretty good as well.

now if you're done trolling maybe you can go crawl into a hole and stay out of the big boy talks.

JungleZ 04-03-2013 01:32 PM

with my f1 exhaust I actually feel like I lost low end torque.. I don't know if an intake would help that since this engine barely has any torque

I think it's very funny how you can't give out numbers!

you should know what your 0-60 times are! what's the point of making like 324WHP in which is like 404 HP from the crank? so please tell us all how you are making all that HP but don't even know what your numbers are ?

less back pressure will do that, but if you get a tune you should see the low end torque come back without sacrificing any mid-high range gains.

Whoa, whoa, let's not bring any crank into this...

The best way to get more HP , is to just trade in your car on a higher HP car, like a Vette , Camaro, or Mustang and be done with it !

The best way to spend your money on a new sports car after buying it is really in protecting it.

After buying my Z the first things I did to it was, the clear paint bra, ballistic nylon seat covers, window tint, molded floor mats and replaced the plastic under belly with an aluminum alloy one that allows quick access for oil changes. Total cost was around $1100 and it goes a long way to protecting the car and your investment at time of resale.

That's why it makes more sense to just put the extra cash you have towards GAS and say hell with the street dork mods, most are really useless for a street driven car.

i can see your point but why buy a SPORTS CAR if you are not gonna have fun with it? go buy a audi A4 or some 3 series bmw if thats what you want. it sounds like you're just buying your car for the name/status so you look cool. no offense but seems like it. and if GAS is a concern of yours go buy a prius you cheap bastard.

i swear this site needs to screen people before letting them on
