Excuse me, son. I am a Vietnam Era vet, son of a combat wounded WW2 vet, and I served my country proudly in the USAF. I put myself through school using Pell Grants, all of which i paid back. I bought my home and paid for it and sent my kids to school and helped raise a grandson when my son was unable.
I pay taxes, collect Social Security and Medicare and work a part time job to pay my bills.
I dont take handouts but I understand, that although some people abuse the system, some people need them. Being a senior I also understand that the healthcare system in this country is seriously flawed and needs to be reformed. I also appreciate and feel grateful to the millions of others that helped build this country so I am willing to give something in return.
And I voted for Obama, so please stop the stereotyping..
