The problem with wheel locks is this Sunex 2840 Sunex Sockets

Most wheel thieves carry one with them, your locks will only slow them down a few minutes, I have seen one guy on you tube that put a tow chain and lock thru all 4 mag wheels every night.

I hate to say it but living where you do , your really better getting something that they will leave alone and something you really don't have to worry about getting stolen or damaged while being parked or simply driving in NYC traffic.

On a trip to NYC in my beat up old nissan frontier pickup , I can remember being hit or pushed to the side by a lot taxi cabs in the city, at least 5 times in 3 days, so I can't imagine driving something nice and brand new in that city, in a short tme any decent car will turn to a POS there. Just look at whats parked on the street, slowly your car will turn into one of these.

Your really better off with something like a stripped down automatic versa or a used sentra etc, for NYC.

The other factor is that this will definitly effect your insurance, watch them drop you during the 6 month period, unless you move the car or get something else, right now you are a hi risk for them.

I finally got my car back from the body shop!

They put on the factory wheel locks for me and they did a good paint job on my front bumper. When i got home i ordered a viper 2-way alarm with tilt sensor for 125.00 from amazon which i should have done much earlier.

The alarm does not come to my house for three more days so im extremely paranoid because i still park on the street for now, i will move it into a garage when the sun goes down tho. When i get the viper installed i will be parking on the street all the time with the car pager attached to my ear on my pillow at night.Lol Hopefully i can catch one of these clowns when my alarm goes off, i will be right there!

Whats funny about these rays rims is now im seeing them on any piece of shiit car in NYC. Take a look at this altima, you fellow New York Z owners that had there wheels jacked take a closer look because they might be your set.

It's been awhile since someone on here has reported their sport wheels getting stolen.

I have geico they are doing good so far. I don't have roadside assit so i might have to pay for that tow but im trying to fight that. also what is a good aftermarket front bumper excluding the nismo...Thanks in advance!

I had to go to extremes trying to avoid people hitting my car on the highway and parking lots. People around here act real funny around this vehicle i never had to go through this driving a vehicle costing twice as much. its something about this vehicle that drives people who don't drive it crazy and jealous and people who do drive it change also. when i got the car i could not stop driving the dam car its all i wanted to do not even eat..LOL! I know when i get my car back i got to make some changes realizing how people act around it in NYC.

Sooooooo sorry to hear that! My sincere sympathies! I know hearing things like this breaks the hearts of all of us who love our Zs. Just the thought of someone tampering with our car, let alone stealing something off it drives us crazy. Hopefully they didn't damage anything else on the car. But boy, does that suck! Here you are, you work hard for something nice, finally get it, and some complete low life vandalizes it. There are no words for people like that. I hope things work out for you with your insurance co. Life, God, fate...whatever you believe in has a way of taking care of people like that. Best of luck in the future. God bless you brother my favorite post so far! I am a peaceful man but when somebody messes with the people i love or my personal property i earn Legally! i become the incredible hulk! like you said i worked hard for that vehicle and it defiantly was a long time coming(3yrs!) but hopefully geico will take car of me because i cant afford much right now. I just had a genius idea. But it will never happen. But it's still cool to think about. So someone develops a super sticky adhesive that goes on car wheels and you can turn the adhesive on or off with your car alarm. So when it's on, if someone sticks their hands on your rims, they are stuck! If the rip their hands off then their skin stays on the rim and you have their DNA! Let's get some funding for this and make it happen!

Used to be a 76ers fan....Dr. J etc...when basketball (pro) was fun to watch that is. Liked the Knicks though too....Walt Frasier, Dave DeBusschier, Willis Reed days! What part of NY? I can try to keep a look out for weird cars with sport rims and I can also check the local craigslist for you too.

Sucks to hear...no wheel locks? I know they aren't fool proof, but at least a small deterrent.
