No worries, I believe he has mastered how to use spoilers the most efficient way to keep all the problems into one thread.:p:icon17:

Joke aside... After seeing the laundry list of the problems you listed in your http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...eartbreak.html tread, I totally understand your frustration on your z. If I were you, I'd be the same angry and disapointing about the Nissan products. I hope you will find a better dealership and sort out all your problems with Nissan.

Having said that, my experience with Nissan is pretty good, so far. I had an 06 Infiniti G35 coupe for 3 years and didn't have a single issue. I loved all the aspects of the car. That's why I stayed in the Nissan family and got the 370z after I sold my g. No regrets. So far I haven't had any issue yet. I also have an 07 Nissan Xterra as my winter car. No issues as well. So maybe it's just some individuals having problems with Nissan. Or maybe I am just the luck one.

This thread would be better if it has a poll. But in any case, best luck to you Andrew. Hope you will sort out all the problems soon.

Wow, sorry to hear, you've had some bad luck. I've had the opposite experience with my Nissans. For me no regrets on the Z at all, also happy to save the $25K vs an ISF.

If all you want is a rocket between your legs, just pick up some piece of ****, dump an lsx in it, and have a nut. The 370z is an affordable mixture of performance and luxury, not the best of one or both. If you got the Z to live your life a quarter mile at a time, then you obviously didn't do your homework; and because you failed to to do a proper test drive to realize that it was too slow for your standards, I'm not sure why the car should get bashed for that as opposed to you.

TheGreatOne 03-19-2013 10:43 PM

Seems to be a resounding amount of people who love their Z, I'm one of them

I love it's looks, rawness, performance, it fits me and my personality.

I had high hopes for this car before buying it and I'm happy it didn't let me down

Fair enough, to each their own.
I guess people here are like the way I am with Toyota, 0 issues in 20 years, and I swear by them, but every once in a while the SHTF, and they make a POS that breaks and a person hates that brand forever

I really do agree with all of what Frost said, it was the combo of looks aggressiveness, interior, speed, and a decent amount of other things.
I didn't need 2 ISFs at home and I KNEW the 370Z wouldn't be as fast as that, I just wish it wasn't so full of problems (for me at least)

NO BS, I would do it again JUST because I have met a LOT of good people through this forum and meets I just wish it would run properly

Yeah, don't get me wrong, you have plenty of reasons to regret your purchase. People who bought in 09 and then had temp issues have plenty of reason to regret. People with steering lock failure ... and so on. Some people got a nasty surprise when they found out insurance for their Zs was higher than other sport cars they had. But bashing the Z for its performance when you know full well what the performance is before you buy/lease it ... that's like eating an orange and complaining that it was too citrusy for your taste. :icon17:

This car has the worst 6mt in the business, the 7AT felt alot faster. I'm sorry I don't like clunky sloppy stick shift cars that you have to perfectly launch or else you're getting smoked by a Honda accord v6. Don't like the rough coarse engine.
And maybe you didn't know but the base model z has the worst oversteer ever, it's borderline dangerous.. You need to spend like 1500 right off the bat for tires
Ya maybe this wasn't the right car for me but like I said earlier I'm glad I leased this car there are too many cheap Nissan bs issues with this car.

Kingbaby 03-19-2013 11:07 PM

Not that I'm agreeing ... but even if I were, this are things that should have been extremely obvious in the test drive. Not sure how you ended up driving off the lot with the "worst 6mt in the business" or oversteer that's so bad it's borderline dangerous. These weren't issues that crept up on you after 6 months or a year like many people are discussing here.

obviously wasnt on his mind when he test drove the car seeing as he has already established in a different thread that looks were one of the main reasons he bought the car, that right there pretty much sums it up

he's trolling. the base Z has some dynamic issues, but it certainly isn't oversteer

good thing you leased it then. :ugh2:

b1adesofcha0s 03-19-2013 11:51 PM

I don't regret buying the Z. I've met so many cool people from this forum and made a lot of really good friends. When I first bought my Z, it was pretty much just for looks. Over the past 2 years I've really gotten into the whole car/modding/racing scene and it's gone from a mild interest to pretty much an addiction. I didn't know much about cars when I first bought the Z, but if I had the knowledge 2 years ago that I have now I probably would not have gotten it.

Ya maybe the new Z will sway me into another Nissan, I highly doubt it but that's the beauty of leasing ,i can get out of a car instead of financing trying to sell it hoping the resale value will be high and can actually find a buyer.

I still love my Z though. It's my first sports car and I feel like I haven't even seen it's true potential yet. Will be doing some tracking this year so that should make it even more fun.

End your lease and call it a day. You did right by not making a purchase. Would have been a long term remorse. Time for you to shop for a new baby. BTW, can you share with the rest of us a comparable ride that would look just as good or even better? Don't tell me it's a Ford or a Chevy.

LOL, I don't know if I'd get the new ISF, although I like the rev matching... I'd buy post 2011 with the softer suspension

KERMIT 03-20-2013 12:35 AM

Remember, there is always better, faster, more luxurious. If you are willing to spend more, there are lots of options.

Take all this as advice. No offense meant.

You may want to consider user error might be contributing to your issues with MT.

Also, may want to look into getting some professional help since you can't seem to get over your debilitating case of leaser's remorse. You may discover you want to return the car early.

Lastly, you didn't do your homework when you leased the car and that's not the cars fault. Anyway, a lot of your posts have similarly odd logic and go, maybe not full retard, but like half retard at least.

Get some help.

Oops. I did switch to a Chevy :)

I noticed one thing, I drive more responsibly with the Chevy.
When I had the 370z nismo, I would drive a lot faster.

The Z made me do it, officer :)

I was wondering the whole time that his(JungleZ) tone and logic is so familiar to me... Now I think I know - the BuddyZ has revived!:wtf2:

FairladyZ 03-20-2013 02:34 AM

Guys jungle z is right about the transmission though.

Can't be blinded by love for the car.

I love my z but the transmission has to be the worst of all the cars I had.

I had an Evo, Sti, before the Z. The Sti had the best transmission. Drive a brz and Sti today and they feel smoother and better. The clutches are also better in the other cars. Not to mention they don't sound shitty either, no rattles or transmission sounds, that we all claim to be normal.

Again I am happy but it's real folks, jungle has some validity to his posts

Today I learned to forget about all the rattling, and notchiness and am very smooth and comfortable at driving the car but I am writing about how I remembered it when I first touched this car

NitrousZ34 03-20-2013 02:44 AM

All this bitching and moaning is hurting my head :icon14:

But that comment on going half retard made me laugh pretty damn hard :roflpuke2:
