I suppose that it's human nature but it seems that we're never satisfied. Do you know how many people would love to have a 370Z whether it's red, blue, black, white, pink, or purple????? Hey....how about pink? I know my wife would love one! I'm happy to see that many of you like yellow. I need to take another good look at mine! You know what they say, the grass is always yellower!!!

Chicane Yellow here. Love my color and I wouldn't change it. The only downside is that people who are knowledgeable can instantly date your car based on the limited run of the CY. But whatever, that's a minor thing. One thing I love about the yellow is that it reflects light in such a way that you can't see any dirt on it until you're within about 15 feet. So even when my car is filthy and desperately needs a wash, I'll be walking to my car and it still looks fresh until I get very close. Much easier to maintain than any other color I've owned, except for the aforementioned Nissan paint issues and chipping. You can't see swirls very easily unless you're looking in a spot of direct sunlight.

If I had to pick a brand new Z I would probably go with the darker blue or maybe magma red, but with the colors available at the time of my purchase I don't regret it at all. Plus I live in a college town where the primary team color is yellow/gold so I get all kinds of positive comments about it from everyone. I park next to a black 370 at work and my car always looks 100x more awesome (to me).

I think it's cool that people can date my car. Makes it that more special IMHO. But anyway, the only ones that can date it are people who really know the Z. Totally agree that it hides dirt well. I haven't washed it in 6 weeks and have driven it all winter long, not in the snow of course. Seems that when it rains, most of the dirt washes off. Looking forward to some warm weather though so I can really detail it. It is Spring isn't it??? 3 inches of snow on the ground in Northern CT! WTF!!!!!

Weird you mention that the dirt washes off in the rain. I find the opposite to be true with my Z. Rain makes it look filthy dirty, even if it was clean before the rain. Obviously after a fresh wax and polish the rain doesn't do much and just slides off, but when the wax is gone the rain makes some really bad water spots all over the car and any dirt that was on the surface congregates into dirt patches. It's so bad that I sometimes question driving my Z in the rain just because I know how much work it's going to be to clean later. Of course I still drive it anyway, but it's annoying.

It only rains dirt here in Phoenix. It washes nothing away and just leaves more dirt.

Jan 2012 was when I made my decision on a Z (thought about an older NSX, or S2000, or Quattro TT). My dealership had just opened and they had a Black Rose in stock. Last year, 2012 Coupes were hard to get in Ontario (alot of Roadsters). It took me all of March going into the dealership almost everyday and seeing the Black Rose in different lighting (showroom and outside, sunny and overcast, far away and close-up) I literally FELL IN LOVE with the Black Rose.

My 1st choice was Chicane Yellow, and now would be between Magma Red or Midnight Blue. But definitely no regrets with my 2012 Black Rose.

I'm still hoping for the T-top Z32 style to come back in 2015, re-vamped.
