I could do without the Yellow. I think yellow cheapens the look of a car....with the exception of supercars :)

Platinum Graphite Metallic. no regrets.
|
Before buying my 370Z, my first choice was red. But after I saw a CY, it just looked right on the Z. It's definately a head turner! Funny thing is however as much as I love the color yellow on the outside, there's something about driving it and seeing a yellow hood that I'm still not used to and I've had the car for almost 10 months. Maybe it's because I've never had a yellow car before. Hard to explain! Anyway, my next Z will either be red or white or maybe black cherry! Oh ya, I should add that yellow is very easy to keep clean.

I wish they offered a green Z, black is tough looking but hard to keep clean....

I wish they still had the Yellow, that would've been my choice. Looks amazing with the amuse kit and bronze TE37

I don't know that I regret the color but it wasn't my first choice. I looked all over SouCal for a Magnetic Black Touring/Sports 6 speed with no navigation for several weeks. Finally located one. Called the dealer, asked how many miles on the car. Was told about 7, they just got it in. Asked to confirm it was a 6MT. Check. OK, I'll be up tomorrow morning to buy it. I drove 100 miles, got to the dealership, saw the car on the lot. Looked in the window. It was an AT. No others on the lot. The salesman who I talked to on the phone the day before was nowhere to be found. Another salesman located a Platinum Graphite at another dealer about 30 miles away with the options I wanted, and I ended up with it but it was the same color as the G35 I traded in and I wanted something different.
Black 370Z's seem scarce and they sure do look good when clean and waxed. I'm still bummed I didn't get the black color. |
Mine had to be PW with black interior. Got lucky cause one showed up here in town a few weeks later. No regrets.
|
the thing is up here in Canada, 370z I would say is pretty rare, it not like a mustang offered in everything (grabber blue/green etc).
I wish they never stopped making the Daytona Blue, or even had yellow for just 2009. I have black because well it was only option, did I fall in love with it though - yes. |
I would get PW, my G35 was white and I miss having that color
|
I really think OP's case is "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" thing...
Black and white are 2 of my favorite colors on cars in general. When I had my black g35 coupe, I got bored and always envy others have the white ones. Now I finally got my white 370 I started to miss the black so much!

Chicane Yellow here. Love my color and I wouldn't change it. The only downside is that people who are knowledgeable can instantly date your car based on the limited run of the CY. But whatever, that's a minor thing. One thing I love about the yellow is that it reflects light in such a way that you can't see any dirt on it until you're within about 15 feet. So even when my car is filthy and desperately needs a wash, I'll be walking to my car and it still looks fresh until I get very close. Much easier to maintain than any other color I've owned, except for the aforementioned Nissan paint issues and chipping. You can't see swirls very easily unless you're looking in a spot of direct sunlight.
If I had to pick a brand new Z I would probably go with the darker blue or maybe magma red, but with the colors available at the time of my purchase I don't regret it at all. Plus I live in a college town where the primary team color is yellow/gold so I get all kinds of positive comments about it from everyone. I park next to a black 370 at work and my car always looks 100x more awesome (to me). |
There's something about yellow that just makes me happy. I DD drive a dark silver Accord but I look forward to driving my yellow Z as a priviledge.

I love my Gun Metallic!!!
I prefer the look of the black trim, tires, tinted windows against another color (be it gray, white, yellow, red, etc). I can understand how some people the "blended" look of all black. I really wish the base red color was metallic, I might have gotten that. I don't know why more car manufacturers dont make a metallic red color. I had it on my 2004 Mazda3 and I used to get compliments from strangers on it. |

I LOVE the new blue and magma but my favorite color remains Black Cherry. Just sucks it shows dirt so much.

I am a huge fan of my Chicane Yellow, wasn't for sure until I went and picked it up; fell in love and do not regret it at all.
|
This being my first white car I am happy with it. I have had the blacks and the dark greys and even had bright blue. I try not to get the same color back to back unless I just have to have it in that color on the particular vehicle.
With all that said I would like to see the 370Z in Nogaro Red. Always liked that red and Daytona Blue on the 350Z. |

I think if I were to do it all over again I'd go with a non-black metallic color like Monterrey Blue. SR just shows everything, and with Nissan's crappy clear and paint it's hard to keep looking nice.

My order of preference:
1. Chicken Yellow 2. Pearly White 3. 40th Quartz 4. Midnight Blue 5. Magma 6. Blue 7. Red 8. 50 shades of grey |
