Don't assume it was up to 1 mph and that the absorbers are fine. Most cannot tell until you inspect underneath your bumpers. A nice bump may not always leave an impression on the fascia. Also, you did not take ALL the info needed. Based on what you saw when you stepped out to check the bumper, you probably said to yourself it was ok, that it was not a big deal, and will not make a big stink about someone hitting my Z.
