Don't u think that's kinda sad that the ecu parameters in that car are so narrow, and the ecu is so unadaptable to the SLIGHTEST afr change that it causes catastrophic engine failure??

Par for the course on a turbo car if you run it hard.

Messing with the air tract on an FI car is much different than something NA.

The only reason you hear about these issues on subarus more than other cars is the types of people that own them and how they drive.

I have a 1998 Volvo s70 t5. It runs 9.5psi factory. Ran 13psi with boost controller and without afr correction. Currently runs 18psi tuned, on the stock motor, as strong as it ever did. It's my dd, and currently has 170k miles on it. I know about afr on turbo cars. Subaru owners ARE NOT prone to cry to their manufacturer more about there cars more than any other car owners (i am also a member of kc subaru). That engine has had that problem since 02 and Subaru refuses to address the problem. Its not the owners, or the "air tract" on afr cars

Since 2002? That's news to me.

Cast pistons are gonna create issues when you take a factory lean turbo car and lean it out more. It's pretty straightforward.

And when a large proportion of your buyers are joining the car, you're really going to see issues.
