what she said lol....seriously though i do not understand how the Z is not a fun car to drive, i mean sure it has tons of grip through the turns, but it's not impossible to swing the tail out and get a little sideways as long as thats at the track and honestly if OP is looking for a car that is easier to drift i would be worried about anybody else driving remotely close to him

hhhmmm, i didnt know that about the STi, i know some people with STi conversions but no one with a real STi

im just bored of my car if that makes any sense, its not really fun to drive any more, too much grip imo(which is good if i went to the track every weekend, but i dont so its boring)
its like james may said, the fun begins when the grip starts to end

well i love the look of the old 2G eclipse, heck i use to own a 2G GST before i bought my Z, plus its AWD turbo and it uses the same engine as the EVO 8 and 9

Two things

1- turn your VDC off and try to drive it, better yet get a real tune to disable the brake booster which also prevents you from doing a stand still burn out!

2- stop driving like grandma :rofl2: the Z is a great drive

EASY... turbos are more fun and cheaper to mod. Period. The Z looks better. the Z fun factor dies down over time and to make it exciting again costs 5 digits. To make any of those pre-turboed cars exciting costs $3500.

This is the only thing that has be second guessing every day. The aftermarket parts for our car are expensive as hell compared to others.

Man on man. Trading in a Nismo Z for a JUKE?!?!?! What?? How can a Juke be more fun???? I could not ever imagine doing that. Even if it was a financial thing. I could see trading it in for another performance car such as the STi if you need the space and AWD with your weather situation (like me - going to move to CO), but I couldn't see the reasoning for saying the z isn't fun enough. Maybe you're not driving it right? Hah I kid I kid.

But if you are determined to change things up, the most fun alternative is getting a an STi and prepare it to go off roading. Or a jeep wrangler to go off roading. But for just street driving, I'd stick with the z

Or to save money you get get an frs

the juke is waaaaayyy more fun than you guys give it credit for. It's VERY torquey. Has more torque feel than the Z. it's slower but fun. That engine is easy to mod as well. not looking at it from the stock standpoint but from a tuner standpoint. The juke will give you cheaper mod access and it truly is a fun car. I've driven the AWD version. I like a lot.

That messes with me too. They're expensive and most of the mods don't do anything too dramatic to the Z. The 350z had more reasonable mod options. Who would have thought pricing for mods was going to increase that much since then???

get a civic si drrrr lmao but seriously bro you should keep the z, youll regret getting rid of it. either way good luck

The interior does suck, but I never had one issue with mine. Most of the STI owners I know have had zero problems as well. Although, he's considering a DSM. Reliabilty may not be at the top of his priority list. Personally, if I'm the OP I'd keep the Z for a few years and see what's on the market then.

The Z is TOO grippy? What do you think an Evo or STi are going to be? I like both cars, but if someone were to ask for a straight up trade for my Z? Hell no. I like the Z for everything that it is...however, if you're bored I say go for an STi or Evo. A GSX will probably be more trouble than it's worth.

LOL at whoever builds up a Juke. I saw a article once somewhere on a Juke turbo build, there was tons of money put into it and had gobs of hp, I'm sure it would dominate my stock 370 but who cares when it looks like a Juke? I would much rather build off the Z platform which is way better than a suv, don't care how much more expensive it would be. You can put money into anything to make it fast, doesn't necessarily mean it makes sense to do though. That's just my opinion. Oh and if your not having fun with the Z I don't think AWD is the route to go, if anything I'd say it's less fun since it will do nothing but grip. No throwing the back end out with those, without tons of effort put into it that is.

edub370 02-08-2013 11:34 AM

too much grip... yet wants awd platform?

all cars u listed have TERRIBLE interiors.... u are bored and u want a freaking juke??

dude were u high when u made this

Hyabusa Smart Car is where its at!

Home of SmartBUSA - Hayabusa GSXR 1300 powered Smart Car.

Seriously though your reasoning isn't very sound.

well im looking something DD, semi roomy, cheap to make fast for DD(thats where the factory turbo option comes in) and something i can just take to the track occasionally(like once every few months), not to be the fastest person out there but just something to have fun in

oh and i want some luxuries like a sunroof, leather seats, and something i can take off road occasionally(i have had to take my Z off road before for work and it is probably one of the scariest things i have done)

honestly i wish i could afford paying 2 car payments but at 19 i cant
if i bought outright thats another story but then im looking at older cars, and realistically i could afford a honda civic or something but i dont want a honda

if i could keep my Z i would turn it into a 100% track car but unfortunately its either keep it and start to hate the car slowly(like the blind spots are getting on my nerves and i hate the ride quality, its just too stiff for street driving), or sell it and get something better suited for DD

08' 335i, done.

I am driving my wifes juke to work now and my Z has a lot more room, especially when I have my daughter in the carseat behind me. My knees touch the the dash. :shakes head:

She had a versa before and that had more room than the juke.
