If so, I would like to indicate amoung the current Z community their wish list items for a new upcoming Z.

To start, I would offer the following:
  • Shorter wheel base and overall length (i.e less than 100" wheel base length, approx. 158-160" overall length)
  • Lighter overall weight (i.e. reduced by 200-300 lbs overall)
  • Smoother/faster shifts for the manual transmission with more forward gears (7-8 spd)
  • Less NVH (Noise, Vibration,Harshness)
[*Improved engine operational issues that are the nemisis of tracking the current Z
  • Improved limited slip differential able to take track laps at race courses
  • More leg room for 6'-4" plus tall persons
  • Improved seats that are lighter and fit tall people
  • Shorter hatch length that weighs less
  • Turbo option
  • A track option that deletes air con/sound system option

We can all wish I guess...

Anyhow, that'd be nice but I'm not greedy. I'll take a turbocharged option with 450ish HP, LSD as you mentioned, and lighter.

Many of these wishes would lend themselves very well to a smaller, lighter (think 4 cylinder) turbo engine.

I'd be surprised if they went significantly smaller with the next Z, since they're developing a new 240SX-type car to compete with the BRZ/FRS/GT86/KDIG)/@#KG/LKA in that segment. (Finally starting to see some of these on the road where I live. They're certainly better looking in person...in my opinion.)

I think they'll stick with a V6 to stay in line with the Genesis and V6 muscle cars, even though some of those (Ford) may be going Turbo 4 cylinder.

Everyone wants to shed a couple pounds. I'd just like to see more refinement, which I'm sure they'll do in terms of driving comfort/daily usability. Oh and more torque, dammit.
