Not much of a change since '09. Snooze.

I really like it alot, I'm surprised they would make these type of enhancements

Actually, technically, Alcantara IS leather. Go look at $300,000 super cars, they are completely decked out in Alcantara, so I dont see how this is "cheaped out" Also that isnt a riced out boy racer body kit cosmetics, thats a windtunnel...aerodynamically tuned designed to increase down force and reduce drag. Supposedly the Nismo's styling is nearly as superbly aerodynamic as the GTR is. SO hopefully you get rid of your Z soon and jump in a civic where your knowledge and mentality are more suited. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcantara_(material) Still would much rather have actual suede or leather in my car (but I'm old skool). |

still with those damn bright *** silver doorhandles! ugh! not sure how i feel about this. i wanted 2 tone for the color scheme but the red accents look tacky/tacked on. this doesn't look well thought out. i'm glad they put a red "O" on the back nismo emblem tho. red center stripe on the steering wheel? Cayman R are we now, nissan?
|
:iagree: the nismo is not rice by any means IMO
|
I really dig the steering wheel (I actually kinda prefered my 09 base steering wheel to my '13 nismo's). Stick on rear foglight?, double tone body panels?,,, this does not look production ready. at least if they do it'd be really tough for bodyshops to repair and reproduce the quality finish... $$$ i did already tought the front, rear lip and spoiler would look great with vinyl.. this confirms it. I would prefer to dark out the lower part of the spoiler instead of the wing itself. but probably that would'nt be too original (evo x)

The red stripes got to go. Still a fan none the less.

Rofl on the juke hahahahahaahahaa
|
Lols. The juke looks scary in a mutation went way wrong kinda way.
The new nismo 370z looks good. Partly reminds me of the 350 nismo look. Tapatalk & such etc |
Why the juke is the most exciting car in nissans line up and why others don't cut it.
1. The Juke offers manual and an aggressive CVT on a 4 banger. The Altima, The cvt is only aggressive on the v6, which makes the 4 banger basically a semi-dull commuter. 2. Nismo juke offers an advanced all wheel drive system thats in the GT-R for $23k 3. An RS model is coming coon as well with OVER 200hp. 4. The juke has met and exceeded general expectations since its release. updates have been meaningful, as well as research for the car. 5. Not too expensive and easy to mod by comparison. 7. It's an original and everything coming after it is just a copy. Altima. 1.Its the newest family sedan out and lost in quality and performance to the older Kia optima. 2. It has been grouped as the bottom barrel family car with the sonata. 3. Accord, Optima, Camry, and even the Malibu are considered more entertaining and functional cars 4. Styling is the weakest of the bunch right now, very neutral. Pathfinder 1. Looks like a fvcking minivan. 2. Wont be able to do much off the beaten path. Its an urban commuter now. It should have been a jeep cherokee rival. Sentra. 1. Where's the SE-R spec-V????????????????????????? 2. If they do come out with an SE-R spec V? I will fall asleep on sentra styling. 3.That thing drives like its sleeping. Commuters don't have to be boring. (mazda 3, VW Golf) Maxima... 1.No manual option??? 2. Seriously yo, No manual option. wtf??? 3. They should have been working on weight reduction over time 4. in 2012, it should have gotten a version of the G35 5AT instead of keeping with CVT GT-R 1. The GT-R is amazing! It gets upgrades every year. 2. It is an excellent value for the money 3. It's the best awd sports car on the market right now 4.Track edition coming out. CARGASM!!! Downsides. 1.It's $100,000 to start 2. The price doesn't maker it accessible to most Then comes our beloved Z. Let me say first. the 35th anniversary 350Z had a power upgrade. 06 had a power upgrade... The 2007 Z had an upgraded engine with even more power. The color palette for 350z was amazing. Interior features and options were comparable to other cars of the time in price range etc... Body and interior updates to the old z were respectable. Our current Z 1.Should have gotten the oil cooler in 09 and a half with brake cooler hoses. 2.When the genesis coupe had that big azz sound system in there 2010 gc's in the $27000 range. The non nav bose should have become standard with bluetooth, ipod and usb in the 2010 model year. The 40th should have had at least a more aggressive tune... 3. 2011 Should have focused on weight reduction and modernizing the nav unit to compete with comparably priced cars. (also for weight reduction) 4.2012 base Z's should have gotten 345/350hp and the Nismo 360/370hp 5. 2013 Body changes were completely unnecessary for the Non-Nismo Car. Wasted money. 6. 2014 Nismo should be getting a stronger interior update and more weight reduction. Regular Z's 2014 should be getting new leather interior styles and two tone cloth seat options for base+sport 7. We should have had more aggressive exhaust options at lower prices from Nismo as well as better priced in-house intake options. Nismo has been too weak for the Z aftermarket. If the Z just got the attention it deserved from year to year, this car would sell. Nissan has created an excellent sports car platform and treated it like a red-headed stepchild clepto with A.D.D. Once the car debuted they sectioned off the engineers. They Definitely gave all the overachieving engineers to the GT-R and the rejects to the Z. As one progresses, the other side fails. The Evo, Z and WRX are the last of the exciting imports. For those of you who think its fun to be nimble while crawling like a turtle? You can throw in the BRZ/FRS & miata. But I'm talking about fun FAST sports cars for an affordable price Nissan... i hope you're coming into forums??? They're probably not though cuz if they were? they wouldn't have the lineup looking the way it does now. |

1) cvt and aggressive dont go together. droney and unnexciting is more like it 2) juke needs that advanced awd like i need a hole in the head. (i.e. if u have to tell someone how advanced your awd is with no results to show, its not impressive) 3) 200hp is extremely unimpressive. (v6 ford escape has 240) 4) what expectations were there of the juke? as far as i can see a target market is still undefined. IF u can give me a target market, i will find 5 cars that will better fit their needs. (i will conceed it has gotten decent updates) 5) never ever seen a modded juke 6)??? 7) the scion xb was original and i don't want one of those either |
Wish there were more performance upgrades, but I like the look. The front end can use some sprucing up, but overall...not bad.
|
Put the gtr motor and trans in a Z, thats a power up grade. Or at least turbo it. I like the look but the red lines have to go. Come on, on the mirrors.

The Scion XB doesn't even compare my dude.. You're lost with that comparo. That competes with the Soul and cube. Whats your point? you don't like it, but it doesn't mean your opinion makes the car an invalid entry as a good sporty and versatile car that can generate a cult enthusiast market. FI alone makes this car worth a deeper look. |

Next gen z is going to smaller and lighter.... This overpriced nismo is a bad sign
|
I wonder if it will be at the Chicago Auto Show, which starts tomorrow. I'm going this weekend and see if it's there. If so I'll take some pics.

Purely speculative, but they might stop selling the Z here in midcycle of the Z35 if it doesnt increase in sales.? It doesnt sell at the price it is now. Imagine if it goes further upmarket??? |

The funnier thing is how you just casually insulted most of the newest forum members in one motion. Well, more precisely you insulted all their Zs en masse. Lols. Tapatalk & such etc |

Too much performance for the Z in terms it will cut into sales of the GT-R and make the Z cost too much. Just throwing in that motor will just be the beginning of costly mods. 400-440bhp would be a great compromise to increased performance without cutting into GT-R sales. |
Pragmatically, it's all about smaller/lighter, i.e. 3k lbs and small disp turbo 6 maybe in the 300's but pushing towards 400 HP.
I wonder how soon we'll know if the Z35 is going to be a 2015 or 2016. Tapatalk & such etc |

The Q60 comes out for 2016 model year, so my guess is the Z will come out a year earlier. |

With all this Nissan going Nismo crazy, it would be nice if they stepped up to the plate like they have been with GTR's every year and add some more meaningful updates. I bought my base sport because on paper, there was 0 difference, and if there was, it didn't merit the $6,000 price difference.
The 2013 brake updates was a long time coming. Adding a legit oil cooler, beefed up abs system, and a better diff would go a long way towards a from the factory track Z which they market, but can't deliver out of the box. |

Z32's went from 90-2000, though the last few weren't in the US.

Lols. Getting all postal about the new bumper and wheels doesn't make the 2013 ugly.
Maybe it's the slightly less hot twin but ugly. Nope. Tapatalk & such etc |
