If you wait too long in neutral for an upshift, your RPMs might drop a little low for a smooth gear shift. At the higher gears you will drop fewer RPMs so you might find yourself needing to let out the clutch quicker than you would for a 2nd to 3rd shift. If the RPMs drop too low you'll feel the transmission struggle as you let out the clutch, but it shouldn't physically prevent you from shifting into the gear if the clutch pedal is fully depressed. To help out the transmission, you can blip the accelerator to bring the RPMs back up to an acceptable number for your gear shift. When downshifting while braking, this maneuver is called heel-toe.
I had to read that like 3 times, and still cant fully understand. But I will play around with it, I have been observing when its most convinient to shift up or down. I'm getting the hand of it though, Love the driving its aweseome
