I received a letter from Nissan Consumer Affairs Department (03/15/2013), telling me that my ESCL needed to be replaced. I have a 2009 370Z MT with 5230 miles on it.

ESCL Recall
I received a letter from Nissan Consumer Affairs Department (03/15/2013), telling me that my ESCL needed to be replaced. I have a 2009 370Z MT with 5230 miles on it. The ESCL in the car was never faulty but the letter said that Nissan dealer will replace the ESCL free of charge for parts and labor.
My question is: After the dealer replace the ESCL, Is it worth to go ahead and disconnect the ESCL? I understand that even if the ESCL is replaced, it could be a failure in the future with the new part in place. |
