What's the worst insult you've gotten about your Z?
Us Z owners have heard many wonderful compliments regarding our Z. But I just thought I would start a thread to see if anyone had received any not-so-nice things said about our car. One day I drove into work and somebody I know who I hadn't seen in a while said "why did you buy that rice crap"? I was taken back and in shock since I'm usually getting compliments and the only thing that I could come back with was "ummm......0-60 in about 4.7 sec. He chuckled after I said it but I later wondered if anyone else got insulted for having a Z. I'm sure this type of response stems from jealousy more than anything else. Anybody else get a negative remark about their Z?

No real direct insult, just jealousy.
A former coworker of mine used to piss and moan about not having nice stuff and projected that I was somehow flaunting my new Z after I bought it. I never really talked about it except when someone asked me. We worked the same job, and he actually made more money than me. He just spent it all on Xbox games and weed. Some people are just better at managing their dough. He was definitely of the "my life is someone else's fault" mindset. I hate that. I don't have enough friends or acquaintances (read: 0) that are car guys (or girls) to really get into a verbal jousting match. |

Ya, usually showered in compliments but I've gotten
"Why you buy Japanese??" In a very disgusted tone from a very old man who clearly loved american. Outside of that, on other forums random sh1t disturbers complaining about the money spent on a Z for what you get but outside of that, its love and admiration 24/7 :tup: |

People kept questioning my validity and reasoning for trading in a 360 Modena for a Nismo, that was a pretty big insult to me...of course I get the better of the people that insult me though, I just don't answer back with valid proof.

lol.. I mean I kinda knew him and I know he was joking a little, so I let it slide. But I constantly get "Nice 350 man". But it stopped bothering me now. As long as they are complimenting, i have no issues with it. But it's weird how I will get respect or thumbs up from cars that'll hang with me like Mustang GT, WRX STI, Lancer Evo, Camaro SS etc. Never a bad attitude. But every time I stop next to a riced out Honda Honda civic that has like 140 hp, they always talk crap. I was Called a "pu$$y" few months ago because I didn't street race this Honda Civic at a street light :shakes head: |
