In all the time that I had my Z I never had anyone insult it.

So far it's the same, other than everyone and their brother calling it a 350.

Haha, my Dad had some people helping him move some stuff from his store and they called it a 350 when I pulled in... I just let it go since it happens all the time, but my Dad... nope. He made it a point to correct them for me. :tup:

B4 I knew anything about Zs I once asked a 350z owner if that was the new Altima Coupe that came out...she got a lil upset and told me it was a 350z...I was like what is that :bowrofl:

Not too long ago my mother called me frantic because her car (also a Nissan) would not start after she went grocery shopping. After some basic troubleshooting she realized that she never had a pair of fuzzy dice hanging from her rearview mirror and then it hit her.. She had gone to the same color, same generation Altima in the parking lot that was not hers, put all the groceries in the trunk and tried to drive away. The key unlocked the trunk and turned the ignition but the transponder was obviously different so she didn't steal another person's car that day. My mother knows nothing about cars and is known a time or two to try and get into any pearl white car with 4 doors in the parking lot.

That said..


My mother came up to visit me after months and saw the Z in the garage. Her words "Oohh that is a pretty Nissan! Is that the new Z?" My mother was more excited to see the Z than she was me.

I don't care what anyone says about my car ever again.. If anyone can't recognize my car I can tell them how even my old mama knows a Z when she sees one!

Ok another "mom" story.
The day after I got my car I drove it to St. Pete to show my mom.
She loved the car, thought I made a good choice buying a new car, but,
she said "It's to low for a senior citizen".
I said "mom I am a senior citizen"
Mom said "you'll know what I mean when you're 88".

By a landslide, the worst things said about my/the Z are members of this forum, who trash and flame the Z in every single post and have huge rep ratings

I coworker passed me in the hallway the other day and said "Is that your 300ZX?

I replied Nice parachute pants!

He actually really liked the car but I did correct him "It's a 370Z"

The Nissan dealership telling me it was normal for the rotors to warp every 5-10 thousand miles if I hit a rain puddle after "driving it hard" on my way to work.

So far, THAT has been the most insulting thing said about the quality of my car, aside from my own words.

I call this "a clue", and I wish I had gotten it before I bought :(

Ill see if they feel like coming down, so far my "crew" is a black 350 nismo and red 370 nismo. Im trying to get us 3 together this weekend for C&C. I know of several other Zs in the area but they seem uninterested in meeting :'(

I'm not sure if he was being serious or just trying to be a **** but I pulled up next to a Golf GTI I think they are at the gas station and when he came out from paying he got in his car and said "nice batmobile".

Coworker told me the car design look unfinished... I looked at him with contempt. I find the word apt haha. He's an E4 and I'm an E6. I also make about 25% more than he does here on the Civilian side. I slapped him wit my eyes.

Did he explain what was "Unfinished" about it? :confused:

This is a guy who owns a Saturn and wants to buy a diesel VW. ROFL, not enough design. VW's aren't bad, but I could easily fall asleep looking at one

lol, i'd just tell him to enjoy the massive repair bills once his VW is out of warranty...honestly they are pretty cheap cars when bought new and under warranty, but once that warranty runs out, good luck to whoever owns one when it comes time to fix something mechanical...heck i can even remember running into a GTI owner stuck in a grocery store parking lot trying to figure out how to get access to his headlight to change it out and the way the headlights were you literally had to remove the bumper in order to change a freaking lightbulb, the guy gave up after about an hour of trying and had to go to the VW dealership to get his lightbulb changed
