Hmm usually from my friends/cousins, but they're only joking. They'll call it a piece of sh1t and then ask me if they can drive it right after :p

The only real insult I can think of was this from this guy who said "that car's not that fast". I was stopped at a light and he was passing by in a pick up truck going the opposite way. I was just like "wtf where did that come from?"

I've had " Jap Crap" and " poor man's Porsche" ....both jealous and ignorant comments in my view.

I think it is almost always jealousy in some form or another... they are under the impression that we, as Z owners, are douches because we are somehow flaunting this car, mocking them for being beneath us, when truth be told we just love Nissan and either can afford one or saved up to actually have one.

I never bought this car to mock or flaunt, I bought it because of the bang for buck and styling, and I came from a 350. Truth be told, since 2004 when I bought the 350 to now with the 370 Ive always had compliments from guys and a lot of girls, and always negative comments from guys in crappy cars (civics, scions, the like) or pick up trucks. But never have any girls at least to my face made a negative comment.

Did you come back with "yes....it does....any shade of Grey you want"?

100% Jealousy/Hate

I've seen it with my own eyes...my car is parked at a car meet...looking from far I saw countless people walk by it, check it out, drool, take pictures...

Don't I see one of the lookiloo's on the street after and I get a screwed up face and the typical ricer "fly by" right after as I'm cruising.

At the end of the day...I love the Z because I don't "have" to prove myself to these lesser cars, I can hold my head high...they know the deal deep inside lol.

I have called my car a Poor Man's Porsche" since before I even I bought it. I guess that would be my biggest insult I have received as well................from myself! lol

You called?:o I love me my Porsche. But when bang for your buck comes into play, there's no doubt that the 370z is a fine candidate and a proper sports car for that matter. That being said, hopefully people here haven't taken my username the wrong way. I'm referring to myself as the poor man and the 370 being the affordable option with qualities, that of a Porsche...

Furthermore, my buddies have bashed on pretty much every sports car I've owned. The only car they've genuinely respected is my 94 Volvo 940 DD:rolleyes:. With that said, I know its all in good fun but trolls will be trolls and theres not a doubt in my mind that when I do pick up my 370 in the next few weeks, my buddies will bullsh!t with a passion to make me regret my decision.

I asked a girl friend of mine what she thought of a parked 370 we saw while driving and she also thought it was "cute" :facepalm:

Funny! I had a much different experience with my fiance on Tues. I called my fiance out when I pulled up in my 370Z for the first time. Her words, "WOW! That's a hot car! Amazing!"

Then I opened the door and told her to sit in while I took it around the block. "This is a monster. *chuckles as I accelerated* This really is a nice car, sweetie! I'm jealous now!"

I've gotten the eclipse comment when i owned a 350. Usually i get the " i wouldn't have paid that " alot of ricer comments due to alot of rednecks with lifted trucks around my town lol. It's obvious that many people just wish they owned a z and find a need to hate on it.

I'd say some of the nicest and best-performing Japanese cars are made by Nissan (Infiniti).
