The thing is, they don't feel fast at all. I drove a friends SS shortly after he bought it and running it hard through 2nd and 3rd was not that exciting. The Z still gives me a thrill through those gears!

One of the two, the 350 owner.

Big difference between going fast and driving excitement. While a camaro technically is marginally faster. A Z feels very fast in the low gears, seating position is way more sport oriented, suspension is stiffer, slalom feels so much smoother and connected to the road. And we can get to 60 way faster than any other NA v6 under $60k

Just the fact that we do what we do with an "inferior engine says a lot. The Camaro wins on torque delivery and range. In manual. The camaro can lose to a Z. if the driver can't switch em well. An automatic Z can be a camaro's worst nightmare though when comparing stock. That's where its really a drivers race. From a rolling 60? The camaro wins hands down. Still impressive with. Almost 100 less hp and 130lbs of torque.
500lbs difference makes these two totally different cars though.
So both should be respected.

You totally nailed it and i couldnt agree with you more.

So as far as me....

I am a car enthusiast and i respect all makes and models except the cars that try to be like the fast and furious with loud exhaust pipes and super huge wings.

As long as you keep it in a straight line Had a Camaro stop me to ask to race. I told him we should go from point A to point B about 40 miles he said that involved mountain roads, he said it wasn't fair I laughed and told him he only bought half a car and drove away..

While the Camaro is heavy I have no doubt that for 99% of drivers the Camaro would have no problem hanging with a Z on a mountain/canyon road. The Camaro handles really well despite it's weight.

PS. I own both a Nismo 370z and Camaro SS as well as my 280z and 300zx.

1st and 2nd gear felt the same as my 350z but 3rd gear was what surprised me. A lot of cars can keep up with one haha
