I replaced the spring, then had some weird creaking noise every time I hit the clutch so now I rock no spring, and have the helper spring in my tool

I replaced the spring, then had some weird creaking noise every time I hit the clutch so now I rock no spring, and have the helper spring in my tool box. I would never put the stock spring back in unless I took the car back to the stealership for some warranty issue.
