Traction control fun driving hurt my car?

No, that is what it is made for. All it is doing is using the brakes to control wheel slip and limiting the throttle if needed. Nothing is being hurt. The only damage might come if you over use it, like driving poorly at the track during a 30 minute session, and it over heats your brakes. That wouldn't happen on the street however.

If you're having fun... turn it off. You can have more fun that way!

Besides, having it kick on and off while your screwing around is more likely to make the car more unpredictable.

If he doesn't understand the basics of traction control, he probably shouldn't turn it off.
