How are your hands positioned while driving?

I drive ONLY handed... Left hand at the 9, elbow on the door

9 and 3 only when I know the airbags are going to deploy. This way I don't break my arms in the process.

Sometimes when I'm driving casually on the local streets, left hand is at 2 and right hand is on the shifter/holding girlfriends' hand at the same time. Apparently it's cool for them to learn how to shift with their left hands lol.

9 and 3. That is what driving coaches recommend. I don't understand how spokes of the wheel get in the way of shifting. Don't have that problem...at least with a stick.

left hand at around 7-8 (bump on the outer edge of the wheel), controlling the wheel with my pointer and thumb. Right hand, shifting, texting, banging.

I was taught 9 and 3 by driving instructors in a special driving class. Also gives you the widest turning radius without letting your hands off the wheel. We we learning in automatic of course for aggressive driving. Serpentine, slalom, etc.
