Took the Z out for the first time in 10 days out the garage last night after I just got electricity back from Hurricane Sandy. Now today there's a rampant blizzard from nowhere today in NY like I've never seen before lol. NY can't catch a break. Storm after storm and its November!!

Finally we have a sunny Wednesday in Toronto, thus I can wash the Z, dress the tires and QD the interior.

I went to Part Source last week, originally I was looking for K&N, but they don't have any in stock, so I have to order them anyway, thus wanna give the Mobile a try.

I got 6 of them, since I am going to hibernate the Z in couple weeks time, the next oil change probably won't happen in April. I usually change engine oil every 3 months....

So I think I am ok... :icon17:

Need one??

onzedge 11-07-2012 08:14 PM

I have not used Mobil 1. You know that the same company makes the K&N, right?

Yes, I found out after I placed the order last week, and it is $1/each less than the K&N.

Funny thing is, when I was in the store, another guy who work there argue with me the K&N is a different one and is better....

Oh well.....

That's just crazy talk.

I use the K&N because of the nut welded on it.

He insist the paper in the K&N is thicker, I don't want to argue with him but I know they are the same thing.

I haven't open the package yet, but I can do that later to find out is the nut on the Mobile also welded. :tiphat:

There is no nut on the Mobil 1.

Also -- do not argue with idiots.

I only get to drive the Z on the weekends but today I made an exception. I have missed the Z as my dailydriver! I went from putting gas in it every 9 days to once a month. lol I would drive it everyday but i think it's frowned upon to put a rear facing car seat in it.

Oh... thanks for pointing it out...

And :iagree: on arguing with idiot.... no point on wasting my time.

Tomorrow I'm raising my car, putting traction arms, dropping the AC (finally), and removing radiator. Upgrading to a CSF. So it's going to a be a great day.

SPOHN 11-09-2012 03:46 PM

Well I removed the radiator, AC, raised the car (due to wider tires), installed traction arms, and removed manifolds. Going with headers now. Whoop. So it was a great day.

I think you are in the same spot I am...I have an 11month old, no baby seats allowed up front!

Had a period where I would only get to drive it weekends or when I was going out at night to train or to a car meet. Managed to make it a bit more often though. Especially once we got him into daycare
